Been a bad day for the English teams in Europe.

Yep been piss poor they are big scores against Quins & Sarries and don’t hold out much hope for Sale in France tomorrow probably leaving Saints to fly the flag.
Coincidence they were at home as only Munster have won away this weekend and only by a single point.

Feel for Treviso, set for a historic away win to Castres to get into the quarters only for Castres to score a very late converted try.

Andy Goode who was on comms last night has posted a potential eye gouging incident involving Glasgow’s Venter on Dan Cole during the early Cracknell try, which wasn’t picked up last night.

Given Venter scored 2 tries himself and their carrying 8 could things have been different if he’d walked so early.

Won’t make any difference to Tigers now but he might be missing for Glasgow in the next round if cited.

For us Tigers fans seems our preferred option for 1st team coach Paul Gustard would have been to costly to buy out his contract in France so he’s mostly likely out the running.

New name has been mentioned Scott Johnson but stone me he’s 62 and last coached in 2012 so hoping that is someone having a laugh.

This appointment needs to be spot on and for the future, Tigers have had 9 coaches in some guise in as many years, it has to stop.

These 2 names in the frame are Graham Rowntree and Leon MacDonald ex-All Blacks player and assistant coach who is probably the sexy option but how long would it be before we are looking again if he has success here, also he’s recently signed for Western Force??

So Rowntree I’d imagine would be the fans long term option pick, get the club back to how it was back in his day. It’s not the sexy option as he does favour the physical side of the game but he at least acknowledges that the games changed and adapted his Munster side to the faster game adding in some attacking flair.

Outside of those 2 there is still Stuart Lancaster who again would be someone to certainly have a conversation with as he’d want a long term project and don’t see him jumping for another role within 2yrs, so for me it’s between Rowntree and Lancaster and wouldn’t mind either.

We just need it sorting, we need at least 2 #10s in and I’d rather the coach have a say than the bloody board decide according to the finance ledger.

As an aside, the board needs a shake up also.

They sound also as much of a shambles as LCFC

Yep they are, that’s what worries me about the Scott J link & recent rumours of going for Gareth Anscombe for the 10 spot, what a come down that would be Pollard to a soon to be 34yr old it all stinks of short term planning.

We need to be setting foundations with these appointments, Rowntree or Lancaster and then Simmonds possibly as the starting 10 with a maverick youngster being groomed to take the shirt.

5th to 2nd due to pushing that extra try & conversion out to 17pt.

Great performance in defence especially during the 2 yellows when BTL could / should have run riot 👏

Bristol were wasteful

We dug in well

lots of errors all over the pitch from both sides

take bath out and it’s any three from six for the play offs

Might not be the right place for this but I went to the womans 6N game at Welford Road on Saturday.

It was pretty heartwarming seeing the interaction between the players and the youngsters in the crowd (mostly young girls) at the end.

cracking game!

love the red roses!

Depends on who you were supporting 😄

1st time I've been on the terrace, was absolutely freezing in the 2nd half.

It was brilliant to see the Scottish players get such a buzz playing at Welford Road.

How are Tigers not competing with a club in Ealing

In fairness, "a club in Ealing" is a 150 year old London based rugby club and one of the most well known in the English game.

They'd be back in the men's top flight by now if they had a bigger ground but they have the same problems most of the historical London clubs do, real estate is ****ing expensive in the capital and land is scarce.

Hence why Welsh, Irish and Scottish have all hit financial disaster, Wasps left the city and now don't exist, Sarries only came back with major financial backing and Quins get by because they're from Twickenham.

But those limitations are less of a problem in the women's game where attendances are lower and the rules for ground size aren't as strict. Hence why Loughborough and Hartpury unis are two of the stalwart teams.

Ealing aren't to be sniffed at.

All of that said, it is still shameful that the biggest traditional rugby club in the country is so awful in the women's game and took so long to get a pro team in to the women's top league. They should have been founder members, proximity to Loughborough isn't an excuse.

The Ealing owner is a lot richer than Tigers and doesn’t hand out premiership level

salaries to men
