Huge result! Really happy ! although I don't think we stand a chance against Bath at Twickenham...But who knows!

My god Pollard is a frustrating player, great on his play but my god he missed 2 conversions, 1 penalty kick and one drop.

In my own opinion we should expect more from a double time rugby World Cup champion (especially on his wages)

His game management has often been poor for us but his goal kicking amazing, whereas today was the complete opposite. Goal kicking was a shambles but I thought overall he was really good.

Especially when he slots the highest pressure shots from difficult places against all comers in World Cups for the Saffers.

Lazy bastard!

1 day ago  “You probably won't believe me – I will kick twice in the week and maybe on captain's run,” Pollard says. “I will do around 20 kicks a week

What a game, the collisions were brutal. We made it closer then it should've been, with all the missed kicks. Radwan what a player, now that's what you call a January signing.

It was a pleasure to have been there.  Atmosphere before the game and afterwards was amazing.  Fair play to Sale fans too made for the cracking atmosphere.  Fan Zones at the Tigers puts anything we have at the KP to shame.  Will be at Twickenham next Saturday another cracking day out.  So pleased I lived in a City that has a great Rugby team another this season Cricket team and a Hit and miss Football team who I follow home and away.  From the East Midlands what other Citys can boast that.

I went to the game yesterday. What a brilliant day, though the last ten minutes was excrutiating. If Pollard makes that drop goal with five minutes to go, it would have been so much more comfortable. I felt that we left points out there in the first half and Sale really were there for the taking. You just knew they were gonna come into it in the second half. Great resilience shown by the team to grind it out second half though.

I don't go to the Tigers often, but I have to say that as a day out it was far more enjoyable than your average Leicester game. The pubs in town were busy, you could stand on the terrace with a pint of Tiger, you could get served quickly, there were things happening on the pitch at halftime, the ground isn't a generic bowl, in the main stand after the game there was a soul band playing, they had a tent with a DJ in the fan park, lots of local food stalls and you got to watch a team giving absolutely everything for the cause. It kinda depressed me as a Leicester fan to be honest. Obviously the 'chants' (if you can call them that) are very monotonous.

Was very enjoyable yesterday. But even with a good contingent of Sale fans, we couldn’t sell out. Quite a few empty seats. Hard to judge whether this is normal given the sporadic nature of home play off finals but Newcastle last week was a sell out.

Yeah, atmosphere was very good and it’s the first time I have been tempted to go on the pitch on a final day. Fundamentally I have enjoyed watching and going to Tigers more and more over the last few years as the players seem more normal and easier to connect with than LCFC players, which seems bizarre given the public school context of many rugby players. Similar reasons why I have enjoyed non-league football too.

I get the Tigers pre / post match stuff is better but it would be the death knell for many of a pub if LCFC did. Happy to expect that a lot fo Tigers fans go straight from station to ground

Disagree with you here mate, a lot of city centre pubs/cafes were full of Tigers fans pre-game yesterday.  I imagine many also do go straight to the ground area for drink/food, probably a similar percentage go straight to the ground/to a pub for city games too.

They are driving season ticket holders away with the pricing Vs the lack of games though.

Agree with everything else you have said though, it's a great day out. But its cheaper to buy tickets for the few games you want to go rather than have a ST which means you are out of the habit of going.

I'm only a casual rugby fan but subscribe to Ben Youngs and Dan Coles podcast. They often have Anthony Watson on too. All three seem like really decent blokes and they talk a lot about having a beer and a chat with supporters.

Rugby gets a lot of flack for it's public school image but I think the culture and values the the game are generally spot on.

Tigers aren’t really a true reflection on the sport in general. Dan Cole is from Wigston, so was Martin Johnson. All the well known tigers legends are all from state school backgrounds. If you go down south, it’s a completely different situation. Most of Sale’s team yesterday too are either Saffa’s or Cheshire private school grads.

Tigers and Gloucester are pretty much an exception in terms of having a less elitist background.

Been to games of both teams over the last couple of seasons and one of the differences is that the match entertainment at tigers isn’t gimmicky. They give you a reason to get down early and leave a couple of hours after. It helps that one club have a board that’s trying and another that isn’t lol.
