he's got sensational passing statistics. it's a complete lie that he's not comfortable on the ball.

He literally looks just like Adebisi from Oz so it's a resounding yes from me.

I must have been watching the same games as Babylon and different ones to others. Yeah, some OK showings for palace, but I can't get one of his European shows for Liverpool out of my head...He was singularly appalling in that game and it sticks in the mind how poor he was !

Because we are so great with ageeing Morgan and Huth, Benny and the mighty Molla Wague that we can snub a guy who was a starter for Liverpool, a fan favorite and essential for Palace last year. Just because of a blunder in a European cup that we naturally play every year. People really need a reality check.

Good thing we don't have Europe to worry about then.

Sol Bamba was a fans favourite. It wasn't just ONE Euro game, but many different competitions. That game though was perhaps the single worst performance I've seen from a player it was that bad.

Not to say he hasn't been brilliant at other times, but I understand anyone being very sceptical about it from what I've seen.

Should we start counting Morgan and Huth's blunders :) ? Let's not go that way.

All I'm saying is that i find it hard to believe that a CB like him got so much meh reactions when we all know that he's more than an upgrade to our actual CBs bar Maguire naturally. Meanwhile names like Chris Smalling are thrown around as if a two times champion of England and EL winner would come to a team that flirted with the relegation and did everything to prove that winning the PL was a one-off.

Seen from outside, we're just a mid/bottom-table team which got their best manager ever sacked in a dirty inside job and should be happy to not have been relegated last season. Said team now coached by an unknown, unproven manager with their best players wanting out. That's why the likes of Sigurdsson would never come here. It pisses me off and still can't get over last summer's missed opportunity.

Sure we got Maguire who is proving to be a fantastic signing, but let's be real for him it's an improvement over Bournemouth Hull and we'll struggle to keep him next summer if he has a great season. Iborra is past his best and still an unknown. Nacho needed a game time he'd never have had at Citeh and likewise if he has a good season he'll be off.

We still have a tiny little chance to become attractive again if we keep Mahrez, DD, sign a good CB and ideally a (good) CAM and finish in the top 10 (which could largely in our reach). That's why I'd be more than happy if we could get our hands on Sakho.

Nobody is saying they haven't and I'm not saying he's shit. When you have seen such a singularly shambolic performance though it's difficult to shake from your mind... it was that bad!
