lcfc sheff Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 He's definitely an upgrade on Morgan, slightly better on the ball but more importantly in his physical prime
dannythefox Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 Defo take him captain for under 20s for PSG and is an upgrade on Huth or Morgan. I think he'll be down the cue on defenders we want though
foxoffderby Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 granted he was poor with Liverpool, but having watched him at Palace he was their best player and fundamental in keeping them up. Buy

So much so, I remember wondering how he was even a professional footballer. He was rated by Palace though and by all accounts did very well there. Palace rate our Jeff, puts things in perspective.
Nick Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 On bigger wages than Vardy though when at Liverpool....

Think he was rumoured to be on £110k IMO, he would have to take a pay-cut in his next move, as he has to rebuild his reputation. I think Vardy and Mahrez are on £100k. It's a lot of money but Smalling and Evans would probably be demanding the same, especially with Man City's interest. I think Smalling is not a realistic option. We are clearly interested in Evans. Sakho is available though, so it may come down to a choice of matching WBA's asking price or stumping up the set price for Sakho. I am guessing both would cost around £25-28 million, so which do people prefer for that price?

I would add.... what I have seen is a player who is poor on the ball. We are trying to get away from that I thought. He was all over the place when we beat Liverpool last season. No thanks.

There was one European game where he was shocking, he gave it away constantly, kept going walk about with the ball and losing it. Liverpool were getting ripped to bits because of him.
desertfox2 Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 This would be a good signing. If he hadn't had the falling out with Klopp over a couple of things then he would be starting ahead of Matip and Lovren. He was great for Palace last year.

what? Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 The guardian liveblog claims a deal with Palace already agreed, 20m with add-ons lifting it to 30
lifted*fox Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 He literally looks just like Adebisi from Oz so it's a resounding yes from me.

Matt Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 Sky Sports saying they've rejected at £25m (With £3m add ons). No player is worth the stupid fees going around this summer but he certainly isn't worth £25m (£28m). Clumsy as fuck. If he's what we're looking at go for Sol Bamba, seriously.
crisp packet Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 Sky reporting Liverpool reject palace bid of 25m (22+3m addons)
