LcFc_Smiv Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 The manager confidence on here is going to fall.......fast.
fairbanksh Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Kasper 7 Fuchs 7 thought he was best defender Morgan 6 full bloodied but slow Mcguire 5 not having a good spell Simpson 4 liability Ndidi 5 seems lost and knackered King 5 not good but overwhelmed in this system Allbrighton 5 poor for him Shinji 5 lost between defence and Vardy Gray 5 hard for him given team performance Vardy 5 felt really sorry for him no service just hoof ball Ibora 5 must wonder what he has let himself in for Mahrez 7 still the only inventive outlet Shakey 3 awful awful awful such a disappointment
Guest ttfn Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Schmeichel 6 Simpson 4 Morgan 5 Maguire 4 Fuchs 4 Albrighton 3 (we play in blue, Marc) King 3 Ndidi 5 (thought he played quite well second half, shocking first) Gray 4 Okazaki 4 Vardy 5 subs: Iborra 5 Mahrez 6 Iheanacho 5 Shakespeare 1 - Line up 4-4-2 again when it's not been working? Ok that's daft. The first half's been a disaster as we haven't got out of our half but wait, Iborra's coming on. Praise the Lord he's finally got it! Oh wait, no, King's coming off. Bournemouth 5 - Played some attractive football but a decent side would have had 4 or 5 yesterday. Ref 5 STAY but only because I think he deserves until the next international break to show that he recognises this isn't good enough and how to fix it. We cannot carry him into December (7 games followed by a transfer window) if he doesn't improve.

Genuinely how I felt at the substitution. Brief elation that he had finally figured it and was willing to try something different, followed by crushing disappointment that it was a straight switch. Don't think I've ever felt such a swing in emotions at a substitution before...
ZeGuy Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Players N/A Won't even bother. Shakey 2 Massive loss of faith in him after the utter dross against Bournemouth. Out of his depth and will manage against WBA with his head on the line. Lose it and it's good bye.

I really feel sorry for him. I wouldn't feel sorry for him to an extent. Yes maybe a few injuries haven't helped, but are these new signings even first team starters? Our bench shows otherwise. He has decided to make us compact and not to concede first and attack second. Its so negative and it's rubbing off on the players and they have no confidence whatsoever. We look beat, dejected and void of ideas before a ball is kicked. We need a clear out throughout the club now and get a young manager with a fresh back room team and a massive restructure above the managers head. One that happens we may see the Leicester City we all know is in their somewhere
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 No way anyone but Morgan should win this vote imo
Aus Fox Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 It was beyond poor. Kasper gets a 7 and Morgan and Mahrez get 6! The rest a 5 is a bonus. Danny Simpsons worst game for us, he does ok defending but with the ball at his feet is a serious liability. The CM were non existent, Albrighton couldn't find a blue shirt and again Gray really didn't take his chance.
steveherbe Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Fuchs MOTM for me, Ndidi and Ibhorra ok, Mahrez lovely cameo, Morgan saved us - and Kasper of course. Rest rubbish, very disappointing but no more than expected. Another crap game at bloody Bournemouth. Only consolation, its a 35 minute drive.
Sampson Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Morgan our best player yet again. Despite my misgivings that he was over the hill pre-season, he's been one of the very very few bright lights this season and had a great start to the season. Kasper made a couple of vital saves too and Fuchs did well too I thought (it says a lot too when your left-back looked the player most likely to make something happen from an attacking point of view). The rest were shit. So ambivalent towards Shakespeare I'm forfeiting the Stay or Go vote. I would still love him to be successful given all he's achieved here as an assistant, but I think I know deep down he's a great coach but not a manager.

I really feel sorry for him. Why feel sorry for him? He didn't mind taking over his old boss' job, so why should we care? Besides, he has had the opportunity to jump start his managerial career in the prem, now he can get a job in almost any lower league probably

My scores:- Schmeichel - 6 Simpson - 4 Morgan - 6 Maguire - 5 Fuchs - 7 Gray - 4 Ndidi - 6 King - 4 Albrighton - 4 Okazaki - 5 Vardy - 5 Iborra - 6 Mahrez - 6 Iheanacho - 5 Shaky - 3
Guest MattP Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 Schmeichel - 6 Simpson - 5 Morgan - 7 Maguire - 6 Fuchs - 6 Gray - 4 Ndidi - 4 King - 3 Albrighton - 4 Okazaki - 4 Vardy - 5 Iborra - 6 Mahrez - 6 Iheanacho - 4 Observations: We have some very lazy players now, we have zero creativity without Mahrez, King is never capable at this level, Wilfs passing might be worse than Junior Lewis, when Shinji is great he is unplayable, when he is bad it's painful. West Brom game isn't must win, but we'll probably be in the relegation area when it starts and we really could do with a win. Shaky - 3 (still stay, deserves a chance with a fully fit squad, much more of this though and it can't go)
DennisNedry Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 Defence 5s and 6s. Midfield and strikers 4s. Manager 3 Bournemouth 5 Ref 8
weller54 Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 Ref was our MOTM... How Simpson's handball wasn't a penalty I'll never know!... Shakespeare gets a 0 rating from me... Clueless is being kind! ...Get rid.
Realist Guy In The Room Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 Morgan looks decent when its backs against the wall as thats what he's best at. Getting in blocks, intercepting, clearing headers etc. Unfortunately when he looks amazing its because we're playing shit. This current set up is depressing as hell.

He didn't see him, he was facing Simpson's back. He couldn't make a decision beyond reasonable doubt

Chester Dontlie Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 I've just seen the game. We made Cherries look like Chelsea... If their attacking players were any better or had more luck it would end in a mauling. Only our defenders and Schmeichel can keep their heads up after this. What puzzles me most is how Andy King is chosen over Iborra week in week out. I can't quite grasp it. I'm afraid the writing's on the wall for Shakes, the longer he's our manager the more evident it is he's out of his depth and he's unable to change his ways, tactically and personally. We can't go on like that, we need a proper shake up right now or we'll find ourselves in a relegation fight again soon. I voted CS stay but I feel I'm deluding myself hoping the international break will change things for better.

Hammo Posted 3 October 2017 Posted 3 October 2017 Morgan best player. Schmeichel decent too. Rest were pretty dreadful. Okazaki the worst of all. I felt Shakespeare deserved this job for keeping us up last season (and for Sevilla) but unless that's the last time he selects a two man midfield for an away game, then it's curtains. I didn't like his post-match comments either. Normally he tells it like it is. On Saturday he was just like all the other Prem managers, spouting one-eyed, biased bullcrap.
