I imagine that following our success, we have become complacent, that too many people have their feet too far under the table and that the whole place needs revitalising. Companies can go sour very quickly if the key players become too comfortable. This should not be swept under the carpet. We are still the fans and deserve an efficiently run club. Get Gordon Ramsay in!

Nick Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 I can't believe If took a month for us to falsify the data logs from our servers to make it look like we uploaded in time. I blame the IT decepticons - sack them all.

The owners appear to have little footballing knowledge. Add to that Susan Whelan. They also appear to have other priorities; Top’s being in Belgium and Mr Vic spending millions on racehorses. The guy that is running the club on a day to day basis, not so long ago was the youth team coach who has now overseen a catalogue of balls ups with transfers. It could be argued there is a vacuum in terms of leadership and charisma in the D of F and also the team manager. Maybe this is as a result of the Thais not being more ‘hands on’ in the last twelve months. It is a total mess. They now need to step in and make the the necessary changes in terms of the above personnel otherwise it’s consequences are going to cost them a massive amount of money in the next two years. Maybe that realisation will make them act, but the question is; Do they have their finger on the pulse at all, in order to make this diagnosis?
jayfox26 Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Things definitely need to change but i feel we need to change the manager as well as all the back room team and recruitment team. We need an experienced manager to come in and bring his own team with him. Problem is, we don't seem like an attractive proposition to any experienced managers at the moment. The club is a shambles and the first team squad isn't as strong as it should be considering the money we've spent in the past year. And like others have said, do the owners even know where to start looking for a new manager and do they have any idea who the right candidates are? I can really see Nigel coming back. At least he will sort the shambles out if nothing else!
5waller5 Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Now that the naivety of the footballing side to the business is becoming more apparent the owners surely must be scratching their heads at what to do ..... Even if they make a big decision on the staff behind the scenes the timing of it is now crucial. Let's say Shakey is a maximum of 2,3,4? losses on the bounce from losing his job, they'll need the current football side to recruit a new manager. OR Do they act now and get a new DofF (plus staff potentially) and hope Shakey can hold it together for a month or two?
Farrington fox Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 There can only be one outcome to this sorry state of affairs, and that is the dismissal of One J Rudkin. He is out of his depth!! Gerrim out.
mozartfox Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Rudkin could start to repair the damage by recalling Mendy. He has played 4 games now? How can this not improve upon what we available have?

m4DD0gg Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Sackings in no particular order...... Rudkin Whelan Shakespeare Appleton
Guest TheBear Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 Whilst sacking Rudkin and replacing Whelan with someone with football and business acumen would be clearly our best scenario. It will not happen, Whelan has worked with the owners for a long time, and Rudkin has clearly placed his nose firmly in their rear ends. They clearly have alot of admiration and respect for him and I don't actually understand why....I don't think there is anyone on this forum that will understand why either. The recruitment has been more than a shambles for too long now. So as fans we have to sit there blind to anything that goes on behind the scenes and feed off of snippets on leaked information. ...One thing is for certain, neither Rudkin or Whelan will be dispensed with whilst the Thais are at the club, so we cannot get our hopes up regarding this!

mozartfox Posted 5 October 2017 Posted 5 October 2017 We really are Shambolic aren't we? You would need to hire an Amazonian Forestry Company to clear out our dead-wood.

Agreeing to sell an asset without a replacement rubber stamped is bad management, I'm sure its not the signitature of J Rudkin on the cheques....

If Pearson would be prepared to come back as DOF then he would be the ideal person to have that football experience necessary to our wider decision-making, such as appointment of managers (admittedly the flaw to this is that he is maybe too close to Shakey), transfer policy, playing style etc, as well as being just the right man to rebuild the infrastructure.
