urban.spaceman Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 I say we "promote" Rudkin to DoF at Leuven. And then throw everything at Walshy to get him back. Money. Cars. Women. Helicopters. All the things.

Crinklyfox Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 The owners are astute businessmen and they should decide if someone needs sacking or not. We're disappointed but it's their money.

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Would love to see Rudkin bite the bullet, to be honest Pearson, Walsh and Shakey dream team back please
Merging Cultures Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 NP as DOF please. He doesn't need to be in the spotlight, but he can get back to rebuilding the club.

fox_favourite Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 This is definitely Richie Wellens' fault! How dare he!!!
Koke Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 On top of this mess our club is also voting for the top clubs to get a higher share of TV revenue. Shameful.

This cannot be allowed to pass without comment or punishment by the football club. It will almost surely have cost us millions whilst humiliating LCFC and the player concerned and put our future in the premier league at risk by significantly weakening an already weak midfield by selling Drinkwater without replacement. We'll probably now get a disillousioned, unfit and fed up player now in January who may miss the world cup. I was always told if you arrive for a meeting 20 minutes late it's for a genuine reason. 5 minutes late looks like you cannot be arsed. 14 seconds late is just gross negligence and unforgivable. If we were waiting for Drinkwater to go to Chelsea before completing the signing, why ??? We brought Silva over from Portugal, we were surely intending to complete the deal regardless otherwise we were wasting his time. Rudkin is the DOF and is ultimately responsible for transfer cock ups. Responsibility falls on the man in charge just as it will for Shakey if the results are poor. Terry Robinson went for supposed lack of or mediocre transfer dealings in 14/15, Rudkin should go as well. It's Shakey I feel sorry for because he's been massively let down. We aspire to be a bigger club, whilst being run by amateurs. The owners need to sack the lot, including Shakespeare, and bring in professional, experienced people in. I feel for Shakespeare, who should never have been given the job full time, with little or no experience as the manager, and no experience guiding him, he's just one of many out of their depth, and has been set up to fail.

For instance, if we sack Shakespeare then does anybody on the board have football knowledge to know who to go for as next manager? Our next manager is already amongst the club/brand. Lets not be silly.

Rigga Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 Silva clearly wasn't 1st choice at any point as we signed Iborra...Then Silva was only going to be a replacement if Drinkwater went. Shakey ibviously didn't want to Rick the boat and felt we had plenary when the reality was and even more so now is that we are woefully short in midfield and have no creativity at all from the middle. Abysmal and heads should roll.

Not that I have any faith in the club to act. I think the club are in one of those states you sometimes see where a trouble shooter comes in to go through the organisation with a stiff brush. I imagine that following our success, we have become complacent, that too many people have their feet too far under the table and that the whole place needs revitalising. Companies can go sour very quickly if the key players become too comfortable. This should not be swept under the carpet. We are still the fans and deserve an efficiently run club.

Worry is the Owners lose interest I'm not worried if they do, if they sold us we'd see sweeping changes anyway that otherwise we might not. I know be careful what you wish for, but the Thais are fairly clueless if they think this current setup befits a club that wants to be in the top 4 of England.

Yeah, I don't get this. The club think they're a top club, but have a championship set-up behind the scenes. Not sure how much longer we will survive in the top flight.
Vestan Pance Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 I'd estimate that Silva's wages over the non playing period will be about the same as the gate receipts from 4 home matches, or Rudkins wages for the next 24 hrs.

This was known around the club for most of the summer he wanted out, if we have a player refusing to play/ ' injured', a replacement should have been sorted in plenty of time, let's be honest, why would you want to keep a player like that, and if Chelsea had offered 30 mill he'd have forced it.
