oxford blue Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4941130/The-100-worst-strikers-Premier-League-history-20-1.html Difficult to argue. Video clip of highlights of his City career is worth a look. Kramaric and Nugent also in top 100
Durnerz Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 No Corrado Grabbi? Akinbiyi was poor but bagged a few more than most on that list.
Stadt Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 14 goals in 97 appearances in the PL for Nuge, hardly prolific but in the 100 worst strikers? Come off it. The same for Kramarić, you could argue he'd be on the list of wort signings but 2 goals in 13 starts isn't great either but not that bad.
Jaspa Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Nuge is definitely undeserving, he was pretty much doing a proto-Shinji role in the great escape season, didnt score alot that year but was there when we needed him and tonked a couple in for good measure against ManU & Liverpool too

bovril Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 Akinbiyi's goal-scoring record is not even that bad.
ajthefox Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 Watching those clips back is painful. Never had any ill feeling or anger towards the bloke, I just felt sorry for him really. That's how bad he was.
Tielemans63 Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 That's very harsh on Nuge. I won't have a word said against the guy.
Captain... Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 What a shite article, the majority are: young foreign player scores a lot in domestic league, comes over here, barely plays for half a season, doesn't score, goes away.
Lovejoy Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 It basically fits the classic newspaper narrative of taking the p*ss out of players it's cool to slag off without actually researching what they do. A bit like when they try and tell you about a team outside the top six when you know they haven't got a scooby.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 Not exactly shocked that the Daily Mail have shared this article. Negativity is something they thrive on. As for Akinbiyi - I blame the man who signed him, rather than the player himself.
