I like his podcast but he finds himself hilarious. Precisely this - used to love TMWRNJ but in his RHLSTP he often comes across as a real egotistical ballbag. Come to think of it I don't really rate Stewart Lee as a stand-up, I get that he's intelligent but just not very funny imo
The Bear 3,886 Posted 29 July 2020 Report Share Posted 29 July 2020 Stewart Lee is brilliant.
The Horse's Mouth 2,795 Posted 29 July 2020 Report Share Posted 29 July 2020 Johnny Vegas will steal the show, I've only ever heard of Herring being slagged off but never watched anything of his. I like Katherine Parkinson, but only her acting so we'll have to see on this one just happy its back

Captain... 7,824 Posted 29 July 2020 Report Share Posted 29 July 2020 I always find it so hard to predict who will be a good watch on it. Vegas could go either way, I can see him being like Jo Brand, just not really taking the tasks seriously but very funny in the studio, whereas Herring I think could take it too seriously or try too hard to be funny. DMC should be great on it but she'll probably be shit.
Stadt 13,155 Posted 29 July 2020 Report Share Posted 29 July 2020 Stewart Lee used to be funny, gone down hill over the last few years.

RobHawk 1,203 Posted 15 October 2020 Report Share Posted 15 October 2020 Thoughts everyone? I thought it was a good start and shows this season is gonna be good. Think the lack of audience did mean it lost something though.

There's definitely more to come worth watching with Greg going back to being a ruthless fvcker

TiffToff88 2,549 Posted 16 October 2020 Author Report Share Posted 16 October 2020 I didn't know much about Mawaan Rizwan but he had me in stitches every time he was on screen. Especially with the egg task!

egg_fried_rice 1,225 Posted 16 October 2020 Report Share Posted 16 October 2020 This group is a very likeable bunch, and I very much like stingy Greg. I think the contestants did really well to keep the energy up in the room without the audience - according to interviews it was the first thing they'd all done out of lockdown so their reactions (Daisy pissing herself constantly ) were a completely genuine release. Also, for those of you who don't follow his podcast, Richard Herring has been itching to get on this for years so he's my bet for series champion.
adam1 187 Posted 16 October 2020 Report Share Posted 16 October 2020 I thought this was one of the best episodes they have done. Hopefully the rest of the series is as good.
Fktf 644 Posted 16 October 2020 Report Share Posted 16 October 2020 I really missed the studio audience. Felt the laughter on stage was a bit forced at times, especially may - who seemed to find absolutely everything hilarious. Perhaps I'm just a miserable git that's hard to make laugh though
Footballwipe 1,991 Posted 16 October 2020 Report Share Posted 16 October 2020 Big fan of all this hype for the new series. Going to be watching tonight and am looking forward to it.
