There was more contact on Michael Owen when he scored that great goal against Argentina in 1998 (for some reason that 20 year old reference is the only one springing to mind atm lol). He brushed it off and scored a goal that we all remember. Contact doesn't mean you have to fall over, you can be off balance from it and carry on. There wasn't enough contact in that challenge, Alli chose to make more of it to get the easy option of a penalty. It's cheating without a shadow of doubt.

I normally agree with your sensible points of view, on this occasion i thought it was a clear pen though.

 

Doesnt matter now though fair play rochdale

It was a dive, he hung a leg into the outstretched leg of the Dale player and made contact on his way down. Yes Vardy has done the same in the past you could tell by the look on Alli's face he knew what he was doing and he had got away with it.

On the penalty..I think there was contact.

Rochdale equalising had me jumping up from the dinner table though... great to see the Spuds not win!

As I said I bet the people who don't like what Alli does doesn't have a problem when Vardy sticks his leg out to win penalties

Most people let their hate of alli and previous events cloud their judgement, even if their "judgement" is just bile directed at players and clubs they dont like.

 

But on THAT incident it looked a nailed on penalty. We would all want it and there were no arguments over the award really.
