Too much is made of diving i think nowadays.

 

A defender wont just run into the box and clear an attacker out, there are cute penalties sometimes that arent flat out dives but defenders also need to not dangle a carrot too.

 

People seem to get hung up on things like this despite players from their own team who arent shy to take a tumble that they turn a blind eye to. Imaginery card waving is another one that seems to wind people up needlessly.

 

Yet thuggish play that Pep discussed v man city.... most are happy to completely ignore what he says because they have a lot of money and are a good team so its just treated as fair game and who gives a **** theyve got players being kicked.

 

Diving is the new buzz word. It starts on forums and it gathers momentum and then its a big issue

Vardy is allowed to initiate contact to try and win a penalty because he plays for Leicester. Dele Alli is a cheating, diving cvnt who plays for Spurs. There's a massive difference, and if you can't see it you really need to be on a different forum :ph34r:

Yes but its simple we love Vardy and we f...ing despise Ali.so its a dive today.

Alli wasnt going for goal... he put himself inthe way to be fouled and then made a meal of the contact flipping himself up.  It was a pen...he was looking for it coz that's what he does all the time.

Class less .... bottlers

In 70s there was a ref called norman burtenshaw... in his autobiog he mentioned the great man city side (lee bell summerbee book etc).  He said if there was a penalty going they would have it...in fact he believed they would rather have a penalty then an open goal from 10 ft

....sound familiar?
