Responded.

Summary: Policia horrific, other three forces acceptable or good.

Policia were great, the civil guard is where your beef is but unfortunately a lot of fans will get the two very confused ? which you should take into account @Sam Casley

Even then you only have to look at their actions during the Catalan referendum to see this is just how the Spanish deal with unrest and nothing to do with victimising British football fans.

anyway I'll take the quiz now.

The Austrian Police were fine when we played Red Star in Vienna.  We were allowed to drink and the Serb's were allowed to cause as much trouble as they liked.

As a fan that has followed England abroad since the 1982 world cup in Spain and more recently in Europe with our club. I can honestly say that in my experience almost all police on the continent behave at best like legalised thugs and at worst they are like animals!

The Austrian police just stood by when coaches were stoned and fans attacked (my mate was kicked). The tanoy at the ground said (as Red Star Fans rioted) " Leicester fans will be punished for their misbehaviour" It was the only time I have been genuinely frightened at a football ground

Agree the Serbs were frightening that night.  I was also threatened outside the ground by a bunch of thugs.  I recall UEFA did f - all about the abuse of our non-white players. Red Star are serial racists and thugs and get away with it time and time again.

Due to the birth of my child I was unable to make Sevilla and I couldn't get transport sorted for Madrid so ended up missing out on Spain. Sounds like I missed the horrible policing so my survey results are very positive.

Personally, I thought the police in Copenhagen were the best.

Police in Copenhagen were really good, escort was nice and relaxed and we were able to carry on drinking all the way to the ground

Our fans were pretty well behaved in the most part though, so they didn't really have a reason to do anything

Police in Porto were a delight, playing football on the waterfront with fans, offering help and directions, smiling.  The Spanish Civil Guard were worse that Thatcher era football policing here, they made no attempt to engage or dissipate tension, they created trouble, attacking peaceful civilians with a real risk to life in Madrid.

‘These days you get arrested and thrown into jail if you say you’re English, don’t you?'

What, just for saying you're English? You get arrested and thrown in jail?
