We outplayed them for long periods at Stamford Bridge earlier this year, main threats were Vardy, Mahrez,N’Didi and 2-0 wouldn’t have flattered us.

Diabate and Kelechi add to that threat with improved performances

Conte has said as much this week.

They are a team in transition.

We have every chance

Now Chelsea have gone out of the Champions League they need the FA Cup to save their season. They will play a very strong side; I fear for us because CP will make more changes again like he does every bloody week, we will have a new formation AGAIN, the players won’t know what the hell to do and we will be 2 down before half time. My prediction 1-3

Will be a good game.  1-1

Except that's not possible. Unless that's after ET and your not commenting on the penalty out come.

Or Chelsea won't have a fvcking clue what he's going to do so can't set up to counter it.

442 big Wes and Kasper up front and muller the fvckers. lollol

Nothing like confidence among the fans to help the team.

Other than our golden season, when was the last time we beat Chelsea??   1895:)?  Always terrified of London teams - we seem to have a MASSIVE inferiority complex!

1-5

The goals raining in from corners and free kicks.

City to win 2-1 last min winner from diabate.

Think all the home teams will go through to the semi finals then we will get Wigan and then Swansea to knock out united. We beat Swansea in the final ... job done ?

I love these comments from those 'supporters' who still believe City are the same team, have the same frailties and underdog mentality/inferiority complex that existed before they were taken over by the Sris. FFS they won the Premier - only losing three games. You can't count that as some fluke, by calling it a "golden season"! I guess you're going to say "ah, but two of those games were against the Arsenal". The second game at the Emirates was lost by a late, late goal - after we'd played nearly all the second-half down to ten men. As for the first tie, the Arsenal can and do turn it on (or off) against any opposition. Both Vardy (fever) and Mahrez ("very tired") were below par that day

That aside, we've been 'hobbled' in the two subsequent seasons by internal problems rather than external fears. This team isn't terrified of any opposition - the guts of the side which reached the CL knock-out stages and competed with Sevilla and Atletico are still in situ.

London teams have always had more cash to throw around than any other teams, other than United and Liverpool. This is essentially the reason why they've been able to compete and, at times, dominate.

You actually seem to be rejoicing in a kind of pre-match schadenfreude - "1-5. The goals raining in from corners and free kicks."!

Sure you're not rooting for the wrong side. I know they've got Drinkwater and Kante playing for them and they have a blue kit but THEY'RE NOT THE CITY.

Actually the supporter in inverted commas is an insult as I have been a mad-keen supporter since 1968. First match was 5 minutes old when Stringfellow scored for City. Final score was City 1 Chelsea 4.

In the intervening 50 years I have rarely seen a City win against Chelsea or Arsenal and although I would love it if your comments about no longer having an inferiority complex against these two were true - sadly the recent results dont show this.

I would be over the moon if we could rip Chelsea to bits as the penalty farce of our last  cup quarter final still rankles (plus I can't stand Conté) but can't see that happening. Hope i'm forced to eat my words!
