Bit more thread derailing.

What I want to know is why was my N Did He (Ndidi) interview banned on youtube and yet all theses and hundreds of others are allowed to stay?

That assist is proving to be one of my all time Leicester goals, it's so cool and arrogant a rarity for LCFC.

Mahrez woeful yesterday? Really? Don't think it was one of his better games but he was still our best source of creativity.

I don't care about the last 8 games. All I know is he was absolutely woeful last night to the point I honestly wondered if he'd been paid off. So many wayward passes and he lost the ball for their first goal attack.

He can't cope under pressure at all. He'll struggle at a bigger club I feel.

Worst post ever. Given a) his ball across created our goal and b) he didn't lose the ball for their first, he was sold short by iheanacho...

Not having the blame on Nacho be won the ball through 2 tackles an got us 40 yards further up the pitch, Albrighton was in lots of space an, if Mahrez passes they dont score, granted he set up the equaliser it was a 7/10 performance for me, his decision making at times needs to improve if hes to go onto bigger an better things, personally I can see Leicester thriving next season with or without Mahrez.

What happens if... as usual... no one actually puts in a proper bid for him?

I just can't see that being the case this summer.  We are collectively harder on Riyad than the world outside FT.  He's making some top five PL player lists, and if you don't rate him as the best, or one of the best, out-of-nothing creators ...  well, we all watch the same football, but somehow see very different games.  Drop him into an elite attacking side, and I expect his flaws will be more covered and his skills emphasized.

There's probably only ten or a dozen clubs that can afford him, and a few of them wouldn't need him.  But I can't see the whole lot turning down the chance to acquire him, in today's market, for 60-75M.  Two years left on his contract is plenty.  My hope is that two or more clubs go in and bid him up.

can't really see it. if you look through the transfer windows he could've left there's always been a decent and obvious reason he hasn't. I can't find any of those reasons now.

summer 2015, after we'd stayed up he was still adapting to the league and had shown glimpses of being a world beater but nobody any better than us would've wanted him.

summer 2016, we were champions and in the champions league and he got a bumper new deal.

jan/summer 2017, he'd "apparently" had a rubbish season so only roma wanted him, and nobody outside the prem and el classico could justify the money we wanted for him.

jan 2018, man city wanted him but bid too late. lpool were apparently interested too but put off by the price as it was jan and he's the difference between us being bottom half and rubbish or getting into Europe.

in summer 2018 we'll not have the champions league, everyone's aware that he's been world class for the majority of the past 3 years, everyone knows he wants to leave, everyone knows roughly the price tag.

he's surely gone.

Yeah nacho gave him no choice but to try and run through 3 men.

Mahrez has the balls to try shît like that but he did lose the ball

I think we'll be low balled because of the fall out after man city in Jan but if anything our valuation will be the same maybe higher.

Hopefully Liverpool pay 100m for shaquiri so we can command 150m for mahrez.

Don't agree with the negative critiques of Mahrez vs Chelsea. I thought it was evident he was trying especially hard, even winning the ball back in the defensive end and creating some chances, including the only goal.

Tell you what, he has the best first touch in world football.

The Chelsea goal was great, the Man City goals is even better. But this! This is what Mahrez is all about in one GIF.

The most gifted player we’ll ever see in a blue shirt. I have absolutely zero faith in the recruitment team to find an adequate replacement in the summer.

Favourite goal has to be Man City or Chelsea at home in the title winning season. Could easily play for any team in the world, he’s much better than Dembele at Barca for example.

Fans like you dont deserve a player like Mahrez.

That's a bit unfair. and surely it's the wrong way round.

Supporters of Leicester City football club don't get to choose who the players are. Mahrez chose to play for Leicester and signed a contract to do so. Whether the player is a superb player like Mahrez, a not so good player like Junior Lewis or a pig like Denise Wise, they choose to put on the blue shirt and represent the city and the supporters. It's possible that a player doesn't deserve the fans but I don't quite see how it works the other way around.

The fact here is that in all liklihood Mahrez will be somewhere else in a few games time, yet the fan will still support Leicester.

With regards the next 8 games I'd like to see Mahrez play (as long as his heart and mind are in it) for as long as 7th place is up for grabs, as soon as we either have 7th or (in the unlikely event) we can't get 7th I'd like a full focus put on looking at our options for next season and Diabaté replacing him, as well as dragovic or one of the U23 CBs replacing Morgan as well as any other changes that Puel would like to see in Prem action to help him make decisions for next season. That has to be our priority over giving players gametime who aren't going to be in the starting eleven.

With regards to the real point of the thread I think that the Beatles made a few masterpieces but an awful lot of repetitive crap too (I see how that relates to the Football theme), Lennon was far more interesting than McCartney but the kinks, the righteous brothers, the byrds, the moody blues, the animals , the temptations, dionne Warwick, gene Pitney, The Who, Dusty Springfield, the walker brothers, Simon and garfunkel and a whole lot of others were putting out as good if not better music - in my opinion of course.

He's likely to never play for us again and you want to replace for the last games?

With respect, I think you are wilfully misunderstanding what FIF was driving at.

I don't have the fear that you have.

I'm quite looking forward to watching Diabaté play and once our position is sorted I'd rather start the progression.

What does it really matter if Mahrez plays 6 more times or 8 more times for us? We'll have our memories of him and a couple of games change nothing. If this thread was "the last 6 games of Mahrez" would that mean you like football more than me?

I guess our difference may be that I'm a Leicester supporter not a Mahrez supporter and in my mind he's no longer a Leicester player, Slimani, Musa, Kingy, Fuchs, Huth (hopefully simpson) look like they're finished with us but I don't need to see them play the next 8 games because of that.

Would you like Fuchs and Huth to play out the season too?

Really? You really think Lennon's solo stuff is better than the Beatles stuff? Seriously?

There's not one Lennon solo song that would get on a Beatles compilation. Not even close.

Imagine that

It's not about fear. I never gave up on Gray even if he's pissing me off. If he can pull his head out of his arse and not only play for himself, I think he can become a very good player and a great asset for us. Maybe Mahrez's shadow is difficult for him to handle, we'll see next season how he will fare. I like Diabaté. A lot. I got the same feeling with him as with Ndidi and I'm convinced that we unearthed a gem. To be honest he seems to have twice the footballing brain Gray has and I want to see more of him.

If things go well we're loaded on the wings and just need a capable number 10. I'm certain that they will thrive under Puel's care and there is plenty of time for them to play.

Ah yes, the same old dig. Are you running out of ammo? Well, I already told you that I don't give a flying fvck about your opinion on that matter and it still didn't change.

The 7th place is likely to be played until the very last game, so he won't be dropped to answer your question. Well he won't be dropped no matter what so you unfortunately will have to deal with it.

Fuchs and Huth ain't the ones who took us to the 8th place, I don't understand why you even brought . Players like Mahrez don't grow up on trees, they do things the commonn football can't even dream of embody the notion of "the beautiful" game. Too bad that you seem to be impervious to this concept. He's been the best player of this season, a joy to watch and I do intend to enjoy him as long as he's here. I am sure I'm not the only one.

You on the other hand can count the days until he's gone.

Stop being provocative, it's so boring for the rest of us - please.

All FIF intended (I think) was that if it isn't essential to play Mahrez towards the end, there is the option of allowing him a quiet ending whilst we try to develop for next season in complete safety. One doesn't have to agree in order to understand, and FIF and I do not always agree.

What he DIDN'T say was 'I hate Mahrez'.
