Is this when 2018 goes apeshit?

It's been relatively calm but in the last couple of weeks it's been ramping up, with youtube journalists being deported on terror charges for distributing 'racist' leaflets saying Allah is Gay, then we had a Scottish comedian convicted for teaching his dog to do a Nazi salute.

Now today we have an IS dickhead shooting at police and killing shoppers in a supermarket demanding the release of the Bataclan killer, and police dealing with a suspicious vehicle found at Westfield shopping centre.

That man is sick and he needs help! A dose of 8mm Kurz to the temple will do the trick.

It's sadly very hard to prevent these type of incidents in the first place tbh.

The local authorities, it seems, had responded both quickly and effectively to this activity.

Surveillance etc can only help to a certain extent imo.

Also can't help but believe something similar will happen in the UK again.

The UK and France, in particular, having people in certain locations  thst support IS etc.

The police officer that took the place of one of the hostages, allowing the hostage to go free, has died from his injuries.

A French police officer who swapped himself for a hostage in a supermarket siege on Friday has died, officials say.

Lt-Col Arnaud Beltrame, 45, "fell as a hero" and showed "exceptional courage", French President Emmanuel Macron said.

The gendarme helped bring an end to a gunman's shooting spree that killed three in southern France.

The radical Islamist gunman, 25-year-old Redouane Lakdim, was shot dead as police brought the siege to an end.

Announcing the police officer's death on Twitter, Interior Minister Gérard Collomb said: "He died for his country. France will never forget his heroism, his bravery, his sacrifice."

He did a very brave and honourable act swapping himself for one of the hostages and keeping his mobile phone signal on to transmit information to the authorities. It is right that all of France and most of the free world honour him and there are many more like him that are on the front line fighting terrorism and fighting for the democratic and the free

Hope it’s not too near you.

Absolute savages.

Hiya

Apologies for the delay in replying. I'm now living in Devon - moved back last August, but kept my username - so no, not near me. However, thanks for your concern. I used to live about 25km from Trèbes and I've shopped at that supermarket on several occasions. The whole incident was sickening, especially as most of the Moslem people I came across when living there seemed to be fully integrated into the local community. It's a pity they didn't manage to shoot the bastard before he killed the police officer, who was an authentic hero.

Thanks again for thinking of me.
