My fantasy football decisions so far:

 

Ronaldo never scores in world cups, I'll leave him out. 

 

Spain bore everyone to death and don't concede, I'll have De Gea, Pique and Alba. 

 

The Germans always score and Reus and Muller are both down as midfielders, so I'll get them both in with Werner. 

 

Brazil have a piss weak group and Neymar scores a lot of their goals, I'll have him. 

 

I'm short on money, I need a cheap filler midfielder - Etebo looks like the best I can get for 2m.

 

 

Literally my worst ever start to a fantasy football campaign. When Etebo got the own goal I just gave up. 

 

Griezmann my only points so far that aren't just for starting. I've tried to argue De Gea should go down as a "key contribution to a goal" but they're not having any of it. 

 

For the record, Casemiro and Trippier (again, cheap) are my other players rounding out a 343.

I’ve seen Panama live and on TV in the past year, and there were no surprises.  I expect them to play a normal Concacrap game.  A huge impaction in front of Panama’s goal, and some pause given to Belgian attackers who would like to keep their shins and ankles attached for the rest of the tournament.

 

If the ref calls half of the fouls, this should be a romp.

Backed Marcelo - Brazil like to get forward with their fullbacks. Not even clean sheet. Pavard -  will start for France, Aussies won't score. Ziyach is cheap and Moroccos main man, likewise Dzagoev for Russia. Muller bangs them in for fun at world cups...

 

Got Shinji to go, but he's injured. Lewandowski, Lukaku and Meunier as well...

I'm not allowed any subs in mine so I had to pick players, mostly, who were likely to go deep in the tournament. 

 

Ziyech, Zhagoev, Shinji etc didn't even get considered.
