Belgium look susceptible to pace and good wide play. Rashford, Vardy, Rose and Trippier should be effective against them. If our defensive players have a storming game, we could beat these. Trouble is Belgium are clicking going forward.

Switched over at half time to ITV, showing Royal ascot, watching the queen and prince Andrew and the rest of the Royals in horse drawn carriages, boy do they lead a great life, dressing up, going to fashion able events and dining on 5star food and drink every day!

Well, value gained on Musa now being lost on Benny the Looney ...    swings and roundabouts ..

All will be well when he nets a hattrick against Panama.

When you look at Belgium's starting XI, the match does have the feel of a PL all star game.  Which Lukaku did tweet something about a while back.

Nah, I'm in between trimming the bushes in back garden and watching the game on TV,  I bet the princes have never done any gardening! I'll rather have their party lifestyle!

I hope 'trimming the bushes' is a euphemism? If not, sit down and enjoy the football.

Arguably the best game of the tournament here. Could have been about 8-4.

I think Mexico v Germany, everyone is expecting Belgium to win this granted they have played some good football but nothing really in it in terms of competition

Love how peoples excuse for not playing vardy is that teams sit back and you can’t play to his strengths. Look at this game and the number of times lukaku/hazard have been played in behind. Its not vardy’s issue for england, its the fact that we dont have anyone creative enough to play him in unlike belgium

Never mind creative enough ...  we don’t have anyone who will pass to him full stop ! ...   diver Alli a case in point ...

I quite like Southgate but his inability to utilise JV tells me he isn’t quite as clever as some people think ..

Belgium have been ahead since the early stages though and Tunisia have been chasing the game. We allowed them back in through a stupid/debatable penalty so they were far more negative against us and have left spaces in behind against Belgium as they press forward.

But, I get what you're saying. Our build-up play does seem more laboured and has less zip. If we'd have taken a couple more of those chances (Lingard twice), then maybe we'd have seen a game where Vardy could profit as Tunisia chased.

Or maybe Tunisia had to go for the win and couldn't afford to sit back and play for a draw like they did against England.

And they've had 2 enforced defensive substitutions. It's all gone riggt for Belgium today. But, they can be got at in behind and down the flanks.
