How do you muster up the courage to tell the parent of the kid sitting next to you to stop touching me with his clap banner during home matches? It's pissing me off and giving me OCD anxiety during the game! That's not what I pay for!

Just a quiet word or speak to your nearest steward.

I'm sure the kid doesn't mean it and any self-respecting parent will ask his son/daughter to be more careful.

Touch him back, nothing can go wrong with that.

I have OCD and anxiety so I don't want to touch him back and asking his parent to stop touching me or to move his booster seat out of my leg space also gives me anxiety so I emailed [email protected] to see if they can relocate me free of charge as a one off exception due to mental health reasons!

Was worried this was going to be about my daughter until I seen you said his.

My daughter is terrible for knocking people with her clapper as she goes mental with it, also kicking the chair in front which is annoying for everyone I think, so I'm constantly telling her to be careful and stop doing what she's doing.

If someone asked me to get her to stop I wouldn't be offended just embarrassed and try harder to stop her from doing what she was doing. Just be polite and ask the kids dad to have a word.

I have OCD, anxiety and depression which in fact is a disability and I told [email protected] and how this was aggravating my illness so hopefully they should move me someplace else free of charge as they do cater great for disabilities!

Thank you for the response but because I have anxiety and depression I don't feel like asking and even if I was going to plan on asking it would give me anxiety and ruin my day out. Do you see where I'm coming from? It's definitely not your daughter! God bless!

And I know what's gonna happen, if I complain about him to his dad he'll look after his son for 1 game but the next home game he'll be back to doing it again and his dad will forget I ever told him anything! So for my mental sanity I think it's best if I moved seat!

Kid behind me before I moved constantly kicked the back of my chair, the parent did absolutely nothing about it. I snapped eventually and they never came back after that. lol

I totally get your issue - OCD and anxiety are awful and even if it seems like nothing to worry about to other people, it can be massive for the person suffering from it.

I'd suggest taking the soft, long-term approach of maybe interacting with the kid before the game, asking him if he's excited, who does he think will win, who his favourite player is, high five him when we score etc - eventually he'll be a bit more considerate and/or his parent will be a bit more aware of what his kid is doing.

Either that or just twat him in the face with your own clap banner :dunno:

Anyone sit in SK4 at the weekend and have a lad give a running commentary of the entire match?  RUN, PASS SHOOT KICK DONT CONCEDE A PENALTY, GO ON BRIGHTS GO ON OKKY, INEACHO IS SHIT for the entire ****ing match.

Also, a special mention to the guy sitting next to me who clapped so hard with his clapper in the first 5 minutes he genuinely injured himself in the process.

I was too pissed to know what was happening V Wolves but if either of these cretins are next to me next time I’m going to flip.
