If she has been behind the Club's response to the tragedy then she is fully deserving of praise . By any yardstick the Club has scarcely put a foot wrong and conducted matters in a dignified, respectful and kind manner embracing family, players and supporters . Really proud of all concerned

I know some have already mentioned her in various threads, but the impressive way the club has handled the tragedy is largely down to her .....when things have settled down and we have moved on (which will happen with time), please let’s remember this and be respectful of her - i think she is now the most important person at the club re broad strategy and off the field decision making.

We we are fortunate to have her and I guess it’s no surprise that Khun Vichai decided many years ago to make her his ‘trusted lieutenant’..........

100% agree.

How do you know this? Are you a relative or do you work for the club?

To add that however great she has been these past couple weeks as a leader, she still needed the staff to implement the plans ..... they all deserve their day off tomorrow and our grateful thanks for the way they have represented our club ....

Good business nowadays is down to the likes of talented administrators like Susan Whelan. That's a compliment, not a dig.

I think any prior questions over her role were largely due to her perceived lack of personality and charisma. But those traits are so very 20th century

Quiet, diligent, process driven strategic management means we have a very modern 'leader' whose actions speak far louder than her words.

She's my kind of chief exec

Having met her in person. I actually think that's just her public personality.

I found her to be very knowledgeable, engaging and willing to listen as well.

At guess I reckon her and Nigel probably got on very well they seem to have very similar senses of humour.

She's the Chief Exec.  Who else would?

In times of great stress, some people come to the fore and others shrink into the background .......yes she was ultimately responsible but that doesn’t mean she necessarily stepped up .............. it just so happens that she did

I don't know why anyone would argue that she hasn't done a great job.

The whole club has functioned amazingly over the last 2 weeks with virtually the entire staff grieving but they kept the show on the road. This goes from the chief executive to the cleaners.

Agreed. Fair play to her for how she's handled such traffic circumstances.

Was reading her tribute in the programme - didn't know she had known Vichai for 19 years and out of that had become such good friends. I guess it goes to show how much she wants to do right by him in his honour after his passing because of how well she knew him. She (and others who have helped) have absolutely bailed it so far.

Pretty sure that’s NOT under her remit.

We have a little grumble about the ticket office from time to time but the general running of this club is exemplary.

Aside from the coaching or playing staff you rarely hear from anyone they just get on with their job.

They've all been unbelievable this last few weeks. Susan Whelan, Jon Rudkin, Andrew Neville, it's been a hugely difficult time and yet they've handled it incredibly. I've a new found respect for things behind the scenes at this club, I've been a critic in the past and I probably shouldn't have been. We're in good hands as Vichai and Top have always known what they're doing.
