Definitely but we won't get smalling as hes just signed a new deal. £60-65m is what we're likely to get for Maguire. Which makes the Mahrez deal look pretty poor from our perspective. If he hadn't acted like he did, i think we'd have wanted more for him.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 After Delph's performance today and Zinchenko's in the cup, Man City are going to be coming full force in for Chilwell I fear
sphericalfox Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 The intention of our club to protect our assets has been very clear. New contracts some very lengthy for key players have been signed. Anyone who wants to come for our stars will need to stump up significant cash. Regardless of who comes knocking we are in a very strong position.

Anyone arguing Pep isn't comfortably the best manager in the division doesn't know anything about football I clearly know nothing about football as I don't really agree. I wouldn't argue that Pep is the best manager in the division but COMFORTABLY is another matter. The job Pochettino has done at Spurs has been fantastic in all fairness. He's turned them into one of the best teams in the country whilst playing a good brand of football but they are also good defensively. There has also been a number of young players there who have thrived under his management especially Kane and Alli. All of this whilst spending a lot less than Pep and a number of other teams. It could also be argued it's an even bigger achievement considering they have spent the last season and half at Wembley which could be considered a disadvantage as away sides will be fired up to get a result there. The fact that Pochettino continues to be linked with "top" jobs should be no surprise and speaks volumes of the work he has done. Klopp fans may also have plenty to say about your opinion as well.

They can buy from other leagues to cover injuries etc. but it is really against competitive spirit to win by buying the best players from your competitiors during the season! Anyone thinking the same?
TheHitman™ Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 There are big clubs after Ndidi too. I know Liverpool and Arsenal have been keeping tabs.

ronnup Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 I don’t know what anyone assumes is different about us to other ‘non big six’ teams , but we’re bound to lose our best players. January is a doubt,, but next summer we will lose one of Chilwell and Maguire if not both. Maybe Perrerira too. We won the league and lost our best player so now won’t be different.

He had the better of Pep yesterday ? With Barnes and Benkovic back in the summer and a young striker, we have nothing to fear.
