Only one man for the job where we are right now

Have been abit of a Puel Outer, but felt sorry for him today he looked disgusted when they scored the 4th goal. He was really emotional when the goals were going in,. He can't be blamed when some players play shit (Mendy and Ndidi) and Maguire at fault for a goal when he couldn't jump up when he was clearly injured

You checked Leuven's results recently? Pass.

A manager is only as good as the players he’s got. A managers job is to manage a team, not to inject a messi hormone into them.

I'm a massive fan of Nige. Love what he did for us and is an LCFC legend in my eyes.

However, those days have gone and I think appointing him would be retrograde step if we're serious about being a top 7 side.

That said, he'd be a great guy to bring in as caretaker boss if Claude gets the boot and we have to wait until summer to get the guy we want.

Well he's taken a couple of city players there who you'd expect to be of better quality, and they are in a significantly worse position than when he took over.

I'm not saying he's a bad manager but he's not been good at Leuven and his trajectory has been downwards ever since he left us. You don't manage in the Belgium second tier for a long time if you're a top quality manager.

We've moved on and can get better elsewhere.

As much as I respect Pearson and believe he's a decent top flight manager with the right people around him, I'm not sure we want to begin a long, painful rebuilding process (we´re already part-way through one!) or re-implement a more physical and direct style of play. If we end up getting relegated over the next few seasons I'll be the first to call for Pearson, but at the moment we need to ask ourselves firstly whether Puel can arrest this slump, and secondly which of the experienced alternatives might take us forward if he can't.

That said, there were some horrendous moments of ill-discipline out there today. It'd be funny to see how long Iheanacho lasted with Pearson. It's astonishing to see a well-paid player totally unprepared to come onto the pitch and a manager has every right to expect better standards of professionalism. He shouldn't have to account for Ndidi, among others, to totally ignore his instructions to keep the ball late on, or Chilwell to (not for the first time) fail to keep tabs on his man. You'd expect Simpson not to look like a non-league player. I wouldn't go as far as absolving Puel of blame (you take credit for wins, however they occur, so the reverse has to apply too) but, to put it diplomatically, I'd like either this manager or the next give some of these players a serious Pearson-esque kick up the arse.

Anyone remember Ranieris record at Greece before he came to us? Not backing Pearson for the job but not necessarily the only factor to consider.

He was honking at Derby too
