Ferguson back in charge there for the 37272742 time so he’ll be playing out from the back, good training for coming back and challenging!

I feel this could probably have come sooner but great news regardless.

Can't wait to see him develop.

Definitely. I have mixed feelings... I guess League 1 is the right level for him right now, but bearing in mind how promising he looked even a couple of years ago, he should be aiming for a higher level by now. Hopefully he can progress quickly in League 1 and then move up after the summer.

Shame to miss out on the Bayern Munich match though.

Early days but this and the Johnson loan haven’t started brilliantly have they

It took Barnes a few matches to break through though.

Barnes started West Brom's first game of the season.

Maybe I'm thinking about the pre season.

Tbh its not 'all' about game time, he gets put in a position to compete against pros on a daily basis, both a physical and mental challenge for a young player. He'll be against veteran strikers who know how to get through CB whilst working with experienced centre halves who can also pass on tips.

Unused sub in Doncaster's thrashing of Peterborough today. You'd hope he can break into a league one team.

Hopefully this kind of loss will give him the opportunity to step up into the first team.

Barnes had two loans before he went there, I don't think these lads have tasted league football before this have they?

Pretty sure Peterborough have had an early sending off in both games so far and once they are losing you'd not bring another centre half on. Will get a chance soon I suspect.

Had a look on BBC, they brought on Ryan Tafazolli (CB) with 20 minutes to go today

Bigger question then, why ha e they got 2 CB's on the bench then, and if the other is the first choice to come on is he actually going to get any game time then?
