I'm extremely impressed. Just had a quick jaunt in the Daher 930 which is superbly detailed. Did the usual of flying over glorious Markfield and the surrounding areas from EMA.

I usually do round the world tours on these things in small legs to take in new airports so might try that in the CJ4. First leg, EMA to Paris.

Hooe you're all enjoying itbas much as I am. Running an i7-7700k and 1080ti and running very nicely indeed. I'll be upgrading soon so hopefully will look even better.

I’m running on a 5700 XT, flawless... and yep the daher is a nice place to get to grip with things, got nice clear panels and you just follow the line haha

Market Place is up and running. Purchased the London City airport and London City itself both of which were reasonably priced and worth it.

Will be wanting to buy Innsbruck next. I can imagine the market place will be a huge advantage. Purchase and installation was so quick. Hopefully EMA and such like will be here in due course.

I love this plane. I'm currently doing East Mids to Reykjavik in it. Taught myself how to set autopilot for this plane and now just cruising at 28,000ft with some chill music on watching all the cloud scenery go by. Amazing game. Defo gonna pick up a stick for it.

I had a look on Amazon and it looked like many are out of stock probably due to demand after the release. Keep me posted if you find a good one that's in stock please.

Is London City as tricky as the they say for big aircraft in real life?

I've got to be honest mate, i haven't had enough practice on any of the big aircraft to attempt it however it does look like it would be difficult as its very built up around it.

That’s what I use and is a great entry level controller. Not sure whether I’d trust the website I’ve linked you to though, I’ve never heard of them.

will do mate.

i think i'm going to wait for the thrustmaster tca sidestick - it's the updated version of the T1.6000M and apparently doesn't have the same mechanical moving parts on the axis which is what fails on many sticks eventually and causes drifting. it uses magnets instead and the early reviews seem good! I'll wait for it to come back into stock and give you a shout if i find one before you!

It download eventually over night but I think you have to have a proper yoke or joystick as I was on a flight training exercise and all I could do was look out of the window with my joypad, keyboard and mouse!

I think it should be possible to play with keyboard and mouse, but assigning controls is a pain in the arse. For example, if you assign a button or key to something, it’ll tell you the key is already in use and allow to use it, but doesn’t give you the option to remove it from its previous binding.

How did it seem to run performance wise?

Managed to get this from Argos, collecting tomorrow, thanks!

Performance is excellent. Only tried it on low as that is what is recommended but I think I might be able to push to medium.

I think it looks at your hardware rather than doing a benchmark test. My hardware isn't impressive on paper but I've overclocked the hell out of it so hoping I can increase the quality and hang in there.

I managed to go one above my recommended too.

Try go one higher then lower setting that you are less bothered about such as certain shadows etc

Great news, surprised you’ve managed to get hold of one so quick. Seems to be the perfect storm of increased demand and supply chain issues.

Yeah having to travel all round 60 miles for it but I'll do a scenic bike ride so won't cost anything in fuel.

Tried medium settings and it was having none of it. I still think it looks glorious on low, perhaps a bit of background drawing and crap reflections on the wings but I can live with it.

Getting used to the system layout more now having come from X-Plane.

Still blown away with the Simulator - Have taken a couple of screen shots (below) and i think they look as near to realism as you're likely to get from a Simulator.

Flight over Florida (Can't remember which aircraft i used)

1.thumb.jpg.62c6990885c734146bbdfe7a26fc1467.jpg

Landing in Frankfurt (Airbus)

2.thumb.jpg.cc0779cb005e6aa55770fb7faa87878f.jpg

I've had a few disastrous flights in the Airbus whilst trying to get to grips with it as i had only ever flown Boeing - Namely the Zibo 737-800. Had a quick go in the dream liner but that looks like a space ship - I shall be sticking with Airbus for now.

On a side note, if you want to see a particular land mark, exact location, even as specific as your own house or something like Auschwitz (I have a particular interest)...

1) Go to Bing Maps on your internet search engine.

2) Type in where you want such as your address or anything in the world.

3) Right click on the exact location you want (zoom right in to get most accuracy)...Can even right click on your exact house....

4) Copy Eastings / Northings (press blue copy link)

5) Paste these into the search bar on the World Map.

6) Set as your departure (This will spawn you directly above the location you selected already in flight)

If you can't see your landmark / area ... It's because it will be directly beneath you.

I have done it with many places such as Auschwitz and numerous football stadiums all of which have been present.

That’s a useful tip with the co-ordinates!

Similar experience in the airliners for myself having only really extensively flown the zibo and PMDG 737 previously. I’m just about resigned to not using the airliners until they’ve been improved or the PMDG is released early next year.

Here's something to try, it works for me and I jump from 40fps to 70-80fps!

Doesn't work... it's just the fps counter recording the undocked VFR map :revenge:

"If you have performance issues try to open the VFR-MAP (TopNavigation while flying) in an external window and put this window on a second monitor if possible (otherwise just place it anywhere it fits in the game screen). This increased my FPS from 30-40 to 50-70."

So I have this set up and really impressed.

Some questions:

Have you changed the throttle control so that it's the main lever or do you keep it as the default elevator axis control? Just seems to me like it feels the wrong way around??

Also in the controller settings they light up when you hit the button or pull the stick which is handy. Only thing I can't get to light up is the trim control - it says "joystick slider X" but can't get it to light up???

Edit also see the throttle is twisting the stick as well as the buttons on the back of the push pull lever.
