StanSP Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 Now on at 12.30pm on Saturday 4th May. To be expected, really, given how the title race is unfolding. Dependent on their progress in the Champions League.
Corky Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 So when else could it be moved to? Just pick the time then stick with it.
hackneyfox Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 Just spoke to club and pointed out that we won't know result of CL QF till April 17th the same day as the tickets go on general sale. So you take the chance of buying tickets before that, it gets moved to friday and you either take holiday or bin the tickets. Club apparently won't/can't move the dates tickets go on sale. Not happy
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 Again.... 12:30 again.... It feels like every time we go there is an early one!

You know the Scousers play wolves on the last day of the season? Considering how wolves are, I totally expect wolves to turn up for that. Man city will be playing Brighton on the last day so even if we did beat them before, I reckon it’ll be mighty close.
bill96 Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 Is it actually Man City's champions league progress that affects this time/date? I'm thinking that it could be dependent on Man Utd/Liverpool's champions league progress as they are penciled in for a league game on Sunday 5th May. For example, if Liverpool get through the champions league and play on the tuesday night, they can't play their prem match on the Sunday prior to that, therefore prem game gets brought forward to to Friday/Saturday, meaning our game could move to Sunday, (if Man City are either knocked out or playing Champions League Wednesday night), meaning Sky/BT switch the televised games around a bit. Surely Man city playing Saturday and Tuesday isn't a huge concern although not ideal? Hope that makes sense to somebody.

If they played the Tuesday after, they would play the Wednesday before, so Saturday would be ideal. Won't play first leg Wednesday, then PL game Friday. The only way this moves is if Spurs beat Man City in CL. Reason is, Spurs are scheduled for Monday game in PL. If they progress, they would play the Tuesday or Wednesday in CL. So I think Man City vs Leicester would be Monday night and Bournemouth vs Spurs Saturday lunch (straight swap).

urban.spaceman Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 Anyone remember what happened the last time we went to the Emptyhad for an early kick off?

Fox92 Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 12.30 don't bother me for this one. Always a good trip up there. I'd love to beat them and upset the title conclusion.

Fair enough if that’s correct I was just going off what I had seen online i have deleted my post to avoid confusion

Like I say, I can only think of that one scenario (Spurs progressing in CL) where game gets moved. Spurs, beating Man City...over two legs...yh right!
Corky Posted 5 April 2019 Posted 5 April 2019 It should stay at the same time. Did we get any help when we were in the Champions League? No, we had to play Everton at 4pm on Sunday before Athletico on the Wednesday. They've picked Saturday lunchtime because they believe it is convenient for them and the other games at their respective times. If it doesn't help Man City, so be it.
DerbyshireFox Posted 7 April 2019 Posted 7 April 2019 It shouldn’t move to Friday night as we will more than likely be facing Arsenal on the Monday night prior to playing Man City unless they can get past Napoli. If it has to be moved again it would probably be the Sunday
