Atanlanta was my grandads team from Italy and his brother is a season ticket holder at Leicester now so that’ll be a good day out for us I’m buzzing with that. They’re a very decent side as well, really pleased they’ve made it in to Europe.

I did indeed, I was there when we/they were shit haha. I’ve got time booked off for their first champions league match so if it’s at home (wherever they end up playing it) I’m going to try to get a ticket.

Did you ever get to see Vieri or Bonaventura play for them?

No mate, I was about 9 when Vieiri played there and Bonaventura left the year before I was there but I saw him play for AC. 

 

It was 14/15 I was over there watching the mighty #YB29 #Tonigth #PabloPicasso play.

They finished 3rd in Serie A so they will be. I bet the stadium was exactly the same back then as it was a few months ago though.

I thought we usually played pretty much our first team in the 'big' friendly as a curtain raiser but if we're going to play both Atalanta and Nice then we're going to end up with a mix and match aren't we?

 

Unless the Nice game is a bit of a low key one.

Nice are yet to confirm the game is being played at Filbert Way. Their twitter just says ‘England’ whereas the other British opposition have their grounds listed. Might mean it is being played elsewhere but can’t really see that myself.
