That Fiorentina game was really entertaining. Friday night, 3-3 draw, Dean Sturridge hat-trick, all looking good for a promising season.

First game- 4-0 down at half-time.

Was a great game. Chiesa was superb.

The performance really made me think we'd come out of the dark period at the end of the previous season where we lost nearly all our matches over the last couple of months.

Surprised how well the Cambridge tickets are going.

Looks like nearly half are sold already out of nearly 1500.

could end up their biggest crowd of the season.

parking is a mare near the ground btw

About half an hour's walk away if memory serves correctly.

When did we play Harchester United?

Dean Sturridge Hattrick.

Biggest mistake Mickey Adams made was falling out with him. He would've scored us the goals necessary to stay up.

Not to negate Adams, by the way, but he should've handled Deano better.

Yes not too bad.Lovely back street pubs on route, but seem like residential streets, definitely not a rough area.

Or alternatively if driving this could not be easier.

J35 A14 will say airport.Teversham I believe.

You go back on yourself over the first roundabout with Marshall’s airport on your left(1/2 mile) 300yards there is a park and ride( free)

either bus or walk.

This is Newmarket Road P&R and the ground is on Newmarket Road.Probably 15 mins walk further along.

past airport ( left)

Marshall cars ( right)

traffic lights ,then roundabout all straight over(Mac Donald’s on right)

300yards on the left is the ground.

Adams only took over after we were relegated didn't he? And Sturridge wouldn't have saved us. We had an awful team, awfully managed.

Yeah not sure how we got onto this but sturridge was here in 2001 which was a mix of Taylor and Bassett. Adams took over in 2002 and I think he'd gone by then...

Not directly connected to the pre-season fixtures, but rather pre-season overall.

So, the team is flying out to Geneva for some time in Evian next week. Do we have any specific dates when they'll be there? I've read something about them leaving on Sunday, and then staying in France for six days in total.

Fancy going down there for a training session (if open to the public).

If I'm guessing correctly, they'll be using the same facilities Wolves did last summer.

Leicester were also in Evian last summer I believe, ended up playing a couple of friendlies as well but I don't think any have been announced for this year

I think they will be out there Sunday 7th to Saturday 13th/Sunday 14th, as they are back to Belvoir Drive to prep for the friendlies on Monday 15th

Wouldn't do you any harm to try reaching out to the supporter services to see if they can give you any info, they let people in to see the matches in Austria last year, unsure on whether they let people into training sessions

Thanks, will try to reach out to them then.

Any friendly matches planned in France at all? With the time they have at their disposal and the focus being on getting in shape, can't see it being more than one.

They'll surely up the ante for the second week of pre-season, increase the difficulty setting slightly.

The friendlies last year were announced a week before the training camp began, so if there is any, they will get announced this week, last year they played on the Wednesday and Saturday, with I think two completely different line ups, so it is plausible they could do the same again, just depends if Rodgers will do it differently to Puel

I do remember they were regularly doing full 11 v 11 training matches, and as a lot of the early international players are back on the Monday they will probably be the main focus, getting the players 90 minute fitness up

They also seemed to love a good bike ride on the mountain roads in the mornings
