WilfND Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 Im just sat in bed, listening to the misses snore reading the manure forum. Reading through there pogba replacement thread and maguire its made me realise how time has changed and how the power house of yesteryear is now wanting the likes of n'didi, maddison and youri. http://www.redcafe.net/threads/potential-pogba-replacements.440650/page-14 Has there ever been a weaker manure side? Or a stronger with more potential leicester side? You have manure buying daniel james and wan bissaka. Pogba leaving and them strugging to lure maguire away. Leicester buying ayoze and soon to be tielemans. Is this the best era to be a leicester fan ever?

Heathrow fox Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 Certainly since the early Sixties when it was a much more level playing field. How they must miss Fergie. Its been a slow decline ever since.Despite millions being spent on players.Although I think Maguire is a tad overrated I hope he stays, though unlikely as his transfer fee looks like it is needed for further strengthening.
Heathrow fox Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 And if Maguire does go then for his sake not Man U.

gerrytaggart Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 This thread got off to a rocky start, but with time and the right kind of nurturing it can heal.
dayday Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 Looking at there transfer policy , they’re a club in transition, and maybe looking at us at the way they approach the transfer market, looking for young and upcoming players They have bought Bassaka who at £50 million is a gamble, James who has never played at this level, linked with Longstaff who has had played about 8 games, and Maguire. Most of there fans reckon top 4, I think they will be lucky to get in the top 6.

I say...Let Manutd worry about their problems...They still have more funds & WWide.clout than us..They still produce good youngsters, and their top 8 is guarranteed because of it.Where we are Still...in hope. There are no comparisons....! Whether I dislike/hate/or just indifferent to Manutd or Arsenal.. We struggle,we go away for 5-10 years, they struggle..they stay above top 10.. Let's achieve something first...!! Regularly. Or we will just have the recent history of Everton..

I reckon Maguire is underrated... Definitely at his present club...by some Fans....

Jimbo Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 Man United are now well on the same path that Liverpool found themselves on during the 90's and into the early 00's They'll always be a famous club, they'll always have the potential to come good again but they'll face years of lackluster finishes. Wouldn't surprise me if we see a couple of 8th-10th place finishes. Their main problem is, to try and get out of the relative rut they find themselves in, they'll continuously chop and change. I'd be surprise if Ole is still their manager this time next year. Each new manager will want to make a statement and splash the cash on big names who don't necessarily fit (Pogba and Sanchez being prime examples) The longer it goes on the more likely they are to fall behind clubs they were light years ahead of only a decade ago. Spurs, Man City and the re emergence of Liverpool are leaving them behind. And it couldn't really have happened at a worse time for them. The money coming in to the game now means more and more teams can almost compete with them on financial terms. Man City, Spurs and Liverpool will attract the new generation of glory boys and in another decade Man U could be a shadow of their former selves.
AyewJoking Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 It happens. Notts forest used to be the best in england and europe but.......
Adster Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 I'm actually predicting a major shock this year for United. I honestly think they could finish in the bottom half. Deadly serious.

Definitely shouldn't have gone down the path of "something needs to be done [to allow us to bully again] as we make the league" haha
