Collymore Posted 22 August 2019 Posted 22 August 2019 It's common knowledge that Rodgers is renowned for his fun and varied training sessions and it perhaps wasn't Claude's strength. Think some of his methods are captured quite nicely in this training video for Sheffield Utd. Nice to see them enjoying themselves.
StriderHiryu Posted 22 August 2019 Posted 22 August 2019 Man there are a lot more smiles on faces than 12 months ago that's for sure. I don't think I'veever actually seen Kelechi "murder face" Ihenacho ever smile before, and he's not even playing! Some of the training drills look pretty fun and challenging, which is what you strive for in coaching. That gets players interested and they will naturally want to improve as a result. Also good to see that some of the newer players to the squad this year like Soyunu, Praet and Perez seem to be happy and involved. Good signs all round!

Apparently he's something of a joker even.

jayfox26 Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 I just love watching Vardy even in training, hes such a great character and all the players must love him. Really hope he retires here and then gets a coaching job. He'd be perfect for working with our strikers once he's retired.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Rodgers has clearly addressed one of the problem areas from last season, good to see
HankMarvin Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Not sure when the Maguire nutmeg video from last season was from but they all seem to be on good spirits then

Simoken Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 I'm quite sure, when we were going through a difficult phase with Puel, people were complaining that they are smiling and enjoying themselves too much.. fickle creatures i swear.
brucey Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 I look up training pics on Getty images frequently and the players always look like they're enjoying themselves tremendously, even under Ranieri mk2 and Puel. Only exceptions have been the training session immediately after each managerial sacking when they always look a bit miserable, particularly after the Shakey firing.
