Thick question klaxon here as well

What happens if Boris, as current PM, loses his own seat in his own constituency?

I will lose bladder and bowel control with laughing

I think our country is going to seriously change from tomorrow and I can't tell you whether it will be for better or worse, how or why and those with the insistence that they are choosing the correct path today are surely completely blinded by loyalty, we have two massive gambles in front of us that could have far reaching consequences and we hae to go for one.

This must have been how 1979 felt.

Good post, particularly this bit. Whatever happens, there's no easy route forward from here - and there's likely to be a fair amount of public anger, either way.

Good point about 1979, too. I only have vague memories as I was only 16-17, but remember people being dissatisfied over the Winter of Discontent and all that, but also finding it unthinkable at the time that Thatcher might become PM.

Though some of that was good old fashioned sexism.

If all these queues in the cities & university towns are a high turnout by Lab/LD-voting Remainers, we could easily end up with big Lab/LD majorities in those places, a clear majority voting for parties supporting a referendum......and still get a significant Tory majority if the Tories win a lot of seats in the North/Midlands, possibly on a lower turnout. We could end up as an even more divided nation than we already are..... :S

Anyway, let's wait and see.

Could be worse.

If your good news is waking up to Corbyn in number 10. It will be bad news for the many millions who end up on the dole in the coming months.

Is the poverty of millions worth it just to see the Tories out?

Again if people think Brexit is bad we ain't seen nothing yet.

If the British public return a Corbyn government they really have excelled themselves.

Still I'm looking forward to receiving my wealth redistribution package from Stormzy, Lilly Allen, Gary Neville and Redknapp. I shouldnt have to work again.

lol

Matter of opinion!

Labour clearly won't be winning a majority, whatever happens, so even if Corbyn ended up as PM (still unlikely, I think) he'd have to do major compromises with the SNP, Lib Dems & whoever....

Second referendum leading to a Remain vote, plus a moderate expansion of economic investment & public services sounds good to me! :D

Well where have you been? What constituency?

Johnson isn't losing his seat ffs lol

Would require literally everyone who voted Lib Dem or Green last time to vote Labour plus Johnson picking up no more votes than he got before, which is pretty unlikely given he is now the actual Prime Minister.

But you're not taking turnout into account at all.

It makes it more likely now he’s prime minister. Being high profile makes him a target. Resources would have been poured into that seat like never before.

I had to queue for the first time ever. Took me a good half an hour to vote.

It didn't feel like one where you turn up and go through the motions.  I sincerely hope that there's a change.

Leicestershire South.

That’s interesting. Isn’t that as safe as houses for the Tories too?

Well nothing's changing significantly there surely. In fairness it looks like there's always pretty high turnout there, on top of the huge Tory majority.

As I’ve already stated two of the main polling stations in central Leeds have been choka both times I’ve walked past today. Mine was quiet but I went late. I know a few of my mates who haven’t bothered in the past have been and done the deed today too.

I think Leeds central will have a labour win margin of about 15k tomorrow.

It's not just the betting markets, look at the pound - this will surely be the consequences of internal polling from the hedge fund companies etc

Well if you're right to equate a dip in the value of the pound with a strong Labour performance, sounds like you're in for a good Exit Poll now? :(
