That's the one, don't think they'll get it though. 3 minutes ago, LiberalFox said: We had a chance to move towards electoral reform with the AV vote but the public rejected it by a clear margin. They did, I think it'd be closer nowadays as lib dems, greens and ukip/brexit attract decent numbers. It's a hard sell though as explaining AV is difficult to people who are very used to FPTP. I think Labour should have offered something on AV in their manifesto to green/brexit voters. 5 minutes ago, MattP said: Elmo v Security guard - when he puts it on his head That is quality haha

My favourite moments of today so far though..... Elmo v Security guard - when he puts it on his head Secondly, the woman who could be in charge of the home office tomorrow. Managing to come out to the public wearing odd shoes. Not just odd shoes, but also somehow two left footed odd shoes. Think I'd prefer odd shoes to someone who would like to and no doubt enjoy, put other people to death.

RoboFox Posted 12 December 2019 Posted 12 December 2019 So what? I'm so anti-right, I wear two left shoes too.
ARTY_FOX Posted 12 December 2019 Posted 12 December 2019 Still slightly unsure. Won't vote for labour but the options are hardly great. I feel like whatever the likely outcome of the election we're probably ****ed.

iniesta Posted 12 December 2019 Posted 12 December 2019 If labour do win, surely we have another election in the new year. The thick anti-semites surely did not know what they were voting for.
LiberalFox Posted 12 December 2019 Posted 12 December 2019 If Labour lose this as predicted then I wonder what will happen within the party. Corbyn needs to go but is there anyone to replace him?

Pretty irrelevant what I do but I’ve voted anyway! I'm in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne East as you can imagine its as labour as they come. Although I voted for the man who will win my seat I still feel like my vote was meaningless.

She's not close to being favourite, think it's Starmer and Long-Bailey favourites by quite a distance. Long-Bailey would be a good shout i think, she's generally well liked by most who have seen/heard her and the membership, and McDonnell supposedly favours her.

I actually think there's a few candidates momentum would tolerate that appeal to wider audience too (Rayner included), there aren't many Blairites that they would openly object to around anymore.

Sianist Posted 12 December 2019 Posted 12 December 2019 Given how the last 3 years have panned out, I expect a hung parliament where Tories would just barely miss a majority with DuP just barely not being enough for a confidence&supply agreement ... and BoJo will lose his seat by a dozen votes ... much better odds than 5000/1

I don't know a lot about Long-Bailey. I've heard of Starmer but have reservations. I can't imagine Thornberry being popular.
