The Xbox showcase was a joke... And not in a bad way for once! So many big games or returning franchises showed off. Only thing was a lack of actual gameplay but that makes sense just because of the quantity of games they showed. Miles ahead of anything Playstation have done for a while. Only need another 5 of these and they might actually be able to compete lol

Can’t wait for Fable and Gears of War

Shame Indiana Jones is in 1st person, feel like it should be in 3rd person

Fable looked fantastic. Perfect dark also has me interested, enjoyed the n64 version, was always sad it never went further.

I'm sure I read somewhere its both, depending on what the current mission entails.

Who's cancelled their Game Pass? A 50% increase in 12 months absolutely bonkers, and I don't play anywhere near enough games to justify it so I will be cancelling.

Xbox is by far the most successful console company in the world when it comes to shooting itself in the foot. They just never miss.

Next games will be pushed up to £80. Corporate greed is alienating people who casually enjoy games and I've got no sympathy for companies going under as a result.

According to latest news, Microsoft are allegedly close to doing a Sega and leaving the console market entirely.

There may be one last console generation, and then that could be it.

Shame, really. They've been a great competitor to Nintendo and Sony in particular in the past 23 years, but went off on the pricing lately.

You could argue Game Pass users have profited from an extremely good deal in the past; it is very cheap for what it offers.

From what I gather, the basic package gets a 29% price increase, Premium stays the same, Ultimate increases by 50% monthly.

Day One releases limited to the Ultimate package, but cloud streaming is available to all users (barring certain restrictions).

Agreed, it was a great deal but value is relative. It's now really only viable economically for whales or chronic gamers - I'm neither, and I'd wager that the majority of people using the service aren't either and that's why cancellations are off the scale.

Microsoft's net profit for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025 was $27.2 billion, an increase of 24% year-over-year. If Xbox dies then it was Microsoft that killed it.

I cancelled it as soon as the news broke.

It's a nice thing to have but I don't use it nearly enough to justify it.

I have mine loaded up until November 2026 at the moment

But unless anything changes between now and then I wont be renewing, and will probably be selling my Xbox

i guess there is no way to "game" the system anymore to convert GP ultimate at a lower price?? I'm sure I got about 3 years worth of Ultimate for barely any money.... runs out boxing day this year....

Mines pre loaded up until next march. After that ill probably go onto the basic package. Cant justify that amount for the amount of playtime. Shame really as theyve just released Far Cry 3 and AC black flag. 2 of my all time favourites.

I think when I did it earlier this year I bought 3 years worth of core and 1 month of ultimate which gave me 19 months

If it doesn't work anymore I imagine the best thing to do at the moment is try and find places that are still selling gamepass ultimate codes

This is where I'm at with it! For the longest time it was widely considered "the best deal in gaming"...unfortunately when that goes on long enough, alarm bells are ringing at the HQ of Xbox thinking "hold on, maybe we're actually offering TOO much and can actually make more money here".

Their mistake was how they've handled it and almost made it feel like they're doing US a favour with the latest marketing for the price hike. A proper own goal for their PR!

Crazy that I had ultimate for 3 years at just £40 a year. Will be paying more than that in 2 months.

I've never really made full use of ultimate but even on the current pricing, 2/3 games on day 1 and online play access meant I was breaking even on it. I'll probably drop down to premium or maybe cancel all together as it's so difficult finding a list of games that will be available on premium.

The reports claiming they lost £300m on COD sales which is the big driver. I played it via GP and actually bought the season pass since the base game was 'free', same thing I did with FH5. 2 games I otherwise would never have bought outright so it's clearly not as straightforward as they make out.

What they've added in as benefits are absolutely crap as well. Some ubisoft games that many interested will have already played and some Fortnite pass that I would imagine must ultimate subscribers aren't going to get use out of. Would make more sure sense to have these things as discounted extras
