I still have the broadband and a landline but thats because I'm out of contract and can dump them at any time, as for the TV, they messed me around after I went out of contract so I left and now for the past year have been getting constant come back Emails and regular mail but Freeview  is more than adequate and with Disney+ and Netflix being readily available and easily cancelled I will never, NEVER go back :)

Same here. Have you had a look at an Amazon Fire Stick and the potential it offers. I got the HD one for £30 on sale and £30 ‘subscription service’. Compared to the £100 a month I paid for Sky TV, it’s a ‘steal’. Probably isn’t morally right but I don’t feel guilty at all. Sky is a rip off and don’t show half the games I actually want to watch.

I've done the same.

The idea of splitting games over different providers to break Sky's monopoly has failed miserably for fans.

Sky is more expensive than ever, ripping you off further if you want it over a few devices in your own home or if you want UHD.  Then on top of that having to pay for BT and Amazon Prime for other games, particularly European.

It just becomes ridiculously expensive.

Just had this ad appear on my FT. Surely the top right image should be +60%

This isn't the unpopular opinions thread. There is nothing finer than a Rubenesque form.

I have the full VirginMedia bundle for £99 p/m.

I get all of Sky Cinema, Sky Sports and BT Sports, all in HD (and BT Sports in 4K). Plus 1Gb Internet, and an Unlimited data 5G SIM.

That's pretty good value considering everything you get.

Having dropped four stone in the last quarter of 2022, I think I've probably put it all back on over Xmas. I can't remember one where I've eaten and drunk more. No idea if it was the release of this year almost being over, but wow have I got some exercise to do in 2023.

I know a lot of  peeps at work who have the stick, have been toying with the idea myself.

If someone had recently acquired similar - how do you find the programmes i.e. specific matches you want to watch, from the 1000's of channels available?

Different software uses differing interfaces. I choose TV Guide (not Live TV)

and the channel list with the programme listing comes up. It doesn’t always load immediately though. It has sub categories too (UK Sport Ch, US Sport Ch, etc). DM me if easier

What was that chocolate called that had lurid green mint in it that were like shards of glass which ripped your tongue to pieces?

I’m beginning to believe it is a figment of my imagination.

This has reminded me of Fry’s peppermint chocolate cream. Or just Fry’s chocolate cream in general. Haven’t had one of those in years.

I did - and they've changed it from being breakable chunks to a bar that just looks like it has breakable chunks. It's like Rodgers was in charge of the redesign, it's a disaster.

Had a bar of Cadburys and noticed that it was about half as thick as usual. Everything seems to be the same.

Increase price

Decrease size/quality

I’ll carry on buying everything as always, just a bit annoying.

I Googled the Crisp suggestion and that looked it - but it was only called that in South Africa apparently - here, you are bob on, it was Mint Cracknel.

Who said the internet was good for nothing but porn and memes?

They still sell this in Africa - had one this summer. The perfect mixture of pleasure and pain.
