Did his pathetic attempt at clearing the ball for the second not happen?

Also, watch their first goal back….his defending is so meek and passive.

Yeah he could have done better and it was unfortunate that no one else managed to prevent the goal as the ball passed several other of our players including the goalkeeper.

Besides I never said he was blameless I just said there were plenty of others were anonymous or lacking energy, making silly passes. Thomas was one of our most energetic players which is obviously not enough. Mukasa and Reid were totally invisible. It was collectively a toothless performance, too late substitutions against a team that played Wednesday.

I just saw a game where we were collectively responsible for the result.

The manager called the 'clearance' out - so many bizarre, silly moments with Thomas. He is such a liability defensively.

Problem is, who comes in at LB? Aluko seems more suited to RB, while Okoli and Nelson don't look assured either currently. Move Ricardo to LB, and play Aluko at RB seems the best solution if he sticks to playing 4 atb.

Maybe he changes formation?

Riccy has been as sh1te defensively.

Got to be a change in formation.

Was ok to a point but again, the second goal down his side and where is he? For probably an hour or so it was Ricardo who was testing my heart rate getting pulled everywhere and looking massively out his depth but that second was awful…

Have you watched the goals the first one Okoli again is flat footed and like a statue. Thomas may not be great but we have a lot of dogshit plsyers ahead of him, the list from yesterday is Daka, De Cordova Reid, Ayew, Fatawu, Mavadidi contributed a total of zero. So let’s start with them

Agree they've been poor but BDCR and Fatawu have made far more positive contribution than Thomas.

He's made so many errors that cost us goals. He has been the poorest of that group, perhaps other than Ayew.

Disagree he is left exposed because every player in front of him whether it is Mavadidi or Monga fails to work hard enough. It’s not a lot better on the other flank. We are constantly overrun because there are too many lazy players in this squad.

Saw Jakub at Ragdale Hall today. Told him Luke Thomas was the amongst the worst players I’ve ever seen. He laughed (seemingly knowingly) and walked on!

You were just what he needed after yesterday.

Was Jakub relaxing from all the clean sheets he’s not been delivering?

Luke's pretty terrible and playing above his ability, but the last 2 games have been 2 of his better ones.

If yesterday was one of his better ones I don't want to see his worst

The protection in front of him hasn't been great but there's no defending his mistakes. Sorry, you could have the most hardworking winger in front of but it doesn't excuse those defensive aberrations - he's become a meme like Ward. His performance vs Millwall is one of the worst I've seen from a defender in a City shirt.

Thomas was at fault for the 2nd goal. It killed the game. Not that we were ever in it. He is dreadful and has no sense of positioning at all. Okolie also at fault for goals nearly every game so take your pick. Bug for me Thomas is the worst left back since Norman Leet

Agree, and his Liverpool performance was ably backed up by Dewsbury Hall, it’s a team game folks.

His reading of a game is awful. When the oposition start attacking on their right flank, Thomas is nowhere to be seen. He seems to get dragged in to near the center circle all the time, so cannot cover any attacking wingman.
