Sorry don’t agree, Seagrave should inspire players, anyone slacking off because they think they have made it should be moved on  ASAP,.  The biggest clubs have the best facilities and this sets the standards and culture. Our problem is the board have allowed players to become entitled and the standards to drop.

It shows how poor our recruitment has been and that we no longer carry out the necessary due diligence on players character, also over paying rank average players creates a comfort zone and removes any hunger and desire.

We build a training ground fit for Barcelona and co, but we are not and never will be at that level, then impose budget constraints on bringing in appropriate level coaches and players.  Its very clear to see its a failed strategy.

Sorry if it hits hard, we are not "the biggest clubs".

The delusional is across the recruitment as well, giving out 70k a week contracts at championship level.

If you have a negative culture then Seagrave would exacerbate it.

Elite players wouldn’t have the culture of “I made it”. it would be “I have the facilities to leave no stone unturned”.

Its just human nature.  Sorry we dont agree that we should have become an elite club first, but I do agree on your wages point, that is also another part of the bad decision making.  I am ok with players like Vardy getting a good salary after proving themselves over a number of seasons with us, but new signings shouldnt be anywhere near that sort of money.

Seagrave is a wonderful facility , But you've got to put in top quality Coaches to get the most out of it. Thisshould be treated as a totally separate project to the First team.

Though obviously with the First  team to benifit from any prodigious talent we develop along the way.

We should be scouring the world for top young talent bring them in and put them up in Seagrave on a modest payment. Then decide in say 3 or 6 Months who to keep on and who to let go home again. They just need to be good enough to sell on for a profit even a modest one. They don't all have to be first team quality though it would be great if a few of them made the step up every year or two. To save us a fortune in the Market in future years.

I know it wouldn't be cheap to set up properly in our current situation but certainly doable when Seagrave is paid for.

The other thing that would help is to stop giving rediculous salaries to very average players. If they don't like it let them sign for someone else. There's plenty of players out there.

Went to the women’s game yesterday and heard that the club are trying to sell Belvoir Drive with the women using Seagrave in the future.

I believe there are a few covenants on the land not sure how restrictive that is to getting a decent price for it.

Men and women in the same place sounds like trouble especially as there's already been problems with the women and male coaches.

Makes sense from a PSR view as well.

To be honest. It's criminal we gave them Belvior Drive anyway.

You could offer that to 14/15 possible prem teams and it upgrades their TG. I wouldn't mind our women's team were actually good and had top end players using BD facilities but our team are awful 😂

Here tonight, for the first time, for the under 21 match.

The facility is even more impressive up close.

It’s something to be proud of.

In a time of negatives around the club. Seagrave should only be seen as a positive.

I definitely recommend coming to check it out for yourselves.

Do you have to book / buy tickets for a U21 game or can you just rock up?

Who else could we give to? Given the complexities of the sporting covenant and the YMCA ownership to some of the land?

(Although part of me would loved it used for youth teams of both genders)

Sell the area that we own? If we're looking to sell it now, we could have back when we moved to Seagrave no?

Are we selling it ? It’s a rumour. I’m positive it’s not that easy to sell because of sporting consents etc

As development land I can't see that its worth enough to bother selling. £2.5m pays Vardy for 6 months and its gone, assuming its even worth that much.

Different levels make it bit of a pain to develop as well.

Oh the days when we had 15000 for a reserve match 🤪🤪

Seagrave could do a reserve game and bring ya dog day for £1 😜🤪

Presumably it costs a lot to run, so not maintaining over the next x years is going to matter quite a lot.
