Not sure how a side can look a bowler and a batsmen short at the same time lol

An in form Ben Stokes makes a huge difference to the balance of a side. Livingstone needs to be a more reliable batter if he's going to be the 5th bowling option.

Harry Brook really disappointing for me, so much talent but he needs to careful that baz ball doesn't ruin his temperament and technique.

People will pick on the batsmen, and maybe rightly so but they've put 2 good-ish scores on the board but bowlers haven't been able to restrict opposition to lower scores. I appreciate they maybe be batter friendly wickets but have to contain the run rate better.

Remember the glory days when we either had a decent Test side or a decent ODI one?

The test side is still decent, easily a top 4 in the world but the vibes are all wrong. There’s just not enough responsibility and an arrogance that runs through both teams. You can also tell these guys just aren’t equipped to play 50 over cricket, throwing wickets away playing appalling shot after appalling shot at the exact wrong times. If you can’t bat your overs, you’re gonna lose at this level.

You can't wing it in international tournaments anymore. In the Noughties you could turn up to World Cups and stroll past Holland, Canada, Namibia, Bermuda who had dragged their players out of offices and factories. Bowl them out for under 150 and breeze home.

Now, the likes of Afghanistan have players who go all around the world playing in franchise competitions and growing their reputations. They should have beaten Australia in the World Cup.

Mentality from the ECB is all wrong.

The selection has been terrible for the last few ODI series and this tournament. They are picking people who have no form or on funky hunches. We've got guys playing in T20 franchises all over the world and most of them don't get a look in. I don't know if Luke Wood is injured but we are crying out for some left-arm quick variety and lords knows what Liam Dawson has done to avoid selection, because he would be a very solid option with bat and ball - we've been a spin bowler short in both these matches.

Whose idea was it to play cricket in rainy season in Asia?

Should have all been played in Dubai or UAE

Wasn't it the same with the world cup in the Carribean lol

Aus trying to sneak a cheeky wicket there once again.

Smith withdrew the appeal though.

Bit of good PR for Smith but I think they would've been well within their rights to stick with it. He was walking out his crease before the ball even returned to the keeper.

Bet he wouldn't withdraw it against India lol

Afghanistan started well but got pegged back.

Still going to get over 250 though .

Think they're about 50 short even before this Aus innings started.

Am I missing something here? 2 games binned without a ball being balled, both in Rawalpindi. Not the rainy season there?

Edit: Guess if you exclude the monsoon months, Feb/Mar is quite wet

Buttler steps down as captain.

Been a long time coming.

Yep it's been a complete disaster.

No idea who they'll go for next. Hopefully not Harry Brook.
