Fair and goodness knows Brook is a maverick, but personally I think if a bloke scores 111 in a pursuit of 370-odd and the pursuit fails, that's down to his teammates, not him.

Had England under pressure when these two came in. Let them ease into their batting and they flourished. 

 

Something Gambhir, and to a lesser extent Gill, have to sort out sharpish. 

Ghambhir will be sacked before he gets home.

 

Gill has been sheepish IMO. He's let England get on top of his team when they had their foot on our neck.

A review out of pure desperation, that. 

 

Root likes to move forward to remove Impact out of the game. Should be seeing that clearly before reviewing.

Absolutely agree. But his mates could get out by good balls/not being so carefree though. Hopefully & neither should it matter. 🤞. I know I'm being negative, by the way !

Whatever happens it's a fitting end to one of the best series (at least in terms of watchability as opposed to quality) since 2005.  And I don't care how Brook was out. That's the way he plays and it was a great innings.

I genuinely feel a bit sorry for Siraj (who has worked his nuts off). Especially as it was his missed catch that will be the thing that has cost India. Oh well. Never mind
