Didn’t expect us to be in any position to win after India’s 2nd innings. It’s going to be tense, genuinely can’t call it. Would imagine England are favourites. But India need 3 (maybe 4 should Woakes bat) good balls and they’ll have 4 overs to warm the bowlers up before the new ball.

If I’m being totally honest a drawn series would be a fair reflection of it all, you could even go as far as saying India could be 3-1 up rather than 2-1 down. The little things that make a big difference have certainly gone Englands way I feel. Even today as an example with Siraj catching Brook then going for 6 then motoring on to 100.

If Woakes didn't chop himself saving one at the boundary we'd have absolutely walked this test

....also if England hadn't dropped 6 catches. Although, if Bumrah had been fit for India, who knows how it would've gone ?

Great Series though

Great Series though

Both sides can say what if to lots of things in the series.

Ultimately I think you're looking at 2 sides who are in pretty good shape for the future.

India have the bowlers to cope without Bumrah and even England look to have developed some depth in their bowling attack. Id love us to see us competing this well away from home but spin is our chilled heel.

What a morning its going to be - im already a nervous wreck.

Great finale but think I'd rather it just piss it down all to remove any chance of defeat, and take the 2-1 series victory lol

Hope it plays out with Smith battering it for 10 minutes and it's done. I fear the worst though, can see him coming out and going for it and getting out.

Come out with intent. Put it back on India and suddenly 35 looks like a small number again.

If India keep the run rate at 1-2 then we're doomed. We'll just be waiting for a good ball (and the new ball).

First band of rain looks a bit more resilient than predicted - due around start time.  If that does peeter out before arriving in the London area then should be good for that first 90 mins by which time the game will be over.

World class spinners are gold dust. We desperately need a Graham Swann (he could also bat). Unfortunately the County circuit/wickets doesn't seem to create them.

BBC weather is really unreliable since they stopped using the met office. Looks dicey either way.

Shastri's commentary of that "big fella" gets me every time lol him and DK have been a great watch/listen on this series, and Sky's coverage as a whole has been great.

DK is class. I'm not as warm on Shastri, I don't think he needs to shout at the toss and his comments that India need more money were tone deaf for me.

That said, Sky's cricket coverage is genuinely world class - compare it with their coverage on football and it's light years ahead.

It’s such a shame they don’t have the Away ashes series. TNT is like when MOTD moved to ITV.

I’ll take everything back about both Overton brothers if he gets us over the line lol
