The cars always unlap themselves, it would've been a farce if they hadn't

Had they ALL been allowed to unlap themselevs, as they have always done and as per the rules, then the safety car would have come in the following lap and there wouldn't have been a racing lap.

I think anyway...:sweating:

Yes all them.  The Safety Car is also supposed to stay out for another lap to allow the grid to settle itself.  Neither of those things happened.  Masi is done.

To allow 'Racing' is admirable on paper, but we'd had 50+ laps or racing prior to that to which Verstappen was resoundly beaten.

F1 is in big trouble after this.  You cannot run a multi billion dollar sport in this manner.

They ripped up the rule book just to create a show. Nothing more to say really

Ultimately, it's damaging for the sport.  The rule book can be ripped up on a whim by the authorities as and when they see fit.

We won't see Masi next season.

Yeah, because they’d have needed to have cleared away enough too.

I suppose in hindsight a red flag might have been fairer to both… but that would have been an artificial decision because that was always a safety car incident.

This kind of result is amazing, gives hope to all the kids out there that anything can happen. If you have a dream, believe in it! You can do it too, man!

It’s literally the same as playing a full game of football, being 10-0 up and someone calling ‘next goal wins’.

Ridiculous.

Fantastic analogy

You realise they didn't wheel the safety car out for this race? This isn't rally mate this is wheel to wheel racing

I’m talking about how the safety car situation played out. It wasn’t done right and it engineered a situation that had the rules been followed, would never have happened.
