By that point Hamilton wasn't far enough alongside and had to give Max the corner.

Lewis isn’t a wizard, he can’t suddenly make his car disappear.

Max chose his line into the corner, forcing Lewis to go on the inside, Max knew he was there - so does he need to cut across the nose of Lewis now he’s into the corner and can’t change lines?

The nature of that corner makes the racing (outside) line MUCH faster than the inside line, with an earlier turn-in (less braking) (which is why overtaking there is usually not a good idea).  Anyone on the inside therefore needs to be well in front (half a car+) to make the move stick - Lewis never managed that, and was well behind by the point of contact for this reason, and it's therefore his fault.

If Lewis gets close enough to Charles, makes sense to just crash into him. In clean air he’ll easily pull out 10 seconds or even 20 if there’s a second penalty. Even better if it causes another red flag and he can repair his car again.

Norris got a chance of top 3 but Leclerc doing well .

Expect a Mercedes 1-2 .

Hamilton probably winning this shows how bilge the rest of the grid really is.

He’d be well ahead but for the penalty.

That is way Red Bull will be frustrated.

Plus Bottas is getting a lot more points than Perez .

Well that's the race.

Could Hamilton get a heavier penalty after the end of the race if Red Bull complain further?
