Unfortunately, it’s a case of who pulls out first.

Several times this year Max has lunged/squeezed Lewis and only Lewis backing out has prevented there being a  collision (Italy and Barcelona). This time neither of them backed out and we saw what could happen, racing incident imo.

Interesting tactics from Lewis. Can’t beat him in a straight fight so just smash into him. He’ll win easily now, regardless of the penalty. Really unfair. If that goes down as a ‘racing incident’ then Lewis knows what he has to do every time Red Bull are faster.

If you are the car that is clearly in front should you really be the one pulling out?

He wasn’t weaving, he was blocking the inside line on the straight, which is what you can do, then taking the racing line for the corner,

Potentially, however he can’t be 100% certain how close they are. 
 

They’ve both done it previously and forced the other to back down. This time, neither did and one of them was always going to lose. They both could have easily gone at that speed.

Lewis did get alongside, but had to back out earlier due to being on the inside and needing a tighter (slower) line round the corner.  He didn't brake enough to give Max the racing line, however, as he did so, so it is his fault.  The question is just the size of the penalty.

Was a cheap shot on my part (no regrets). Was the "Lewis was nowhere near alongside" which is Tosh. Fairly unanimous that it's more Lewis than Max's fault, but he's just making stuff up there

10 seconds for Lewis so currently puts him at the back time wise
