The family have transformed the club. They made an early statement that the club would regularly challenge for Europe.

There were many doubters but it is becoming true,👍

Something about spending 250m to make us a top 4 club.... he did better than that!

And I was one of those doubters. I did in all honesty think the challenging for Europe in 5 years was a bit optimistic.

£25m and a Premier League trophy later....

I am clearly an idiot.

Happy Birthday Boss

It was understandable for fans to be sceptical when foreign owners take over, Just ask Hull fans regarding the Allams, Sisu at Coventry and Ashley at Newcastle to name but three.

Somehow, we were blessed with Khun Vichai as his entourage. From blessing our players with Budhist monks before games to freebies at the stadium, these were obviously a different type of owner. They still want seem to want to build our club with the training facility being the latest marker. The womens team is another that seems to have focus and just gained promotion whilst the situation in setting up a base in Belgium with Oud-Heverlee Leuven is a bit of a master stroke. Hopefully we can unearth the Hazards and De Bruyne`s of the future before they make it!

RIP Boss, we`ll still be talking about you in decades to come!!!

Is Ashley foreign? Or does he get relegated to that status for being wrong 'un?

For Newcastle, anyone not born there is a foreign!!!!

I think you're being humourous, but I think on serious grounds we might be on dubious moral territory here...

I remember how anti-London the club became when things started going wrong, labelling them the "cockney mafia". I like Newcastle as a place and the passion from the locals, you can tell how important there club is to them with the numbers they pull in.

Im not defending Ashley by the way, we were lucky we didnt end up with someone like him, a UK born owner or overseas.
