This “warm day” stuff has absolutely thrown me. It’s just an outright lie, why have the press let him get away with that? Why has anybody let him get away with that? Why wasn’t the follow up question to that “sorry Brendan? It’s mid October and it was about 12 degrees? What the **** are you talking about?”

The lies he tells in the press have never mattered before, so why would they matter now?

Grass is green tbf…

Yeah I’m quite enjoying Bourne’s stroppy teenager phase now he’s broken the shackles of local happy clapping radio. Hopefully he sticks the boot in. Rightly so in all.

Edit: I’m being a tad unfair and generalising Radio Leicester there. But JB always struck me as chief cheerleader when he was on the local airwaves.

I hope the “hot day” comment will mean the media can finally call Rodgers out for either losing the plot or more to the point taking the absolute piss and the level of disrespect towards his employers, players, staff and supporters.

According to this he was asked if it was true it would take £10 million to sack him, in line with his yearly wage.

For Brendan Rodgers, every game is now a must-win. After Saturday’s uninspired goalless draw with Crystal Palace resulted in Leicester City’s worst points return after 10 league games since 1983-84, Thursday’s encounter with Leeds United takes on growing significance. Not just for a team struggling to find coherence and pattern, but for a manager whose position looks increasingly under threat.

And his sense of gathering alienation was evident when he bristled at a question in his post-match press conference. A little huddle had gathered round him in the corridor at the King Power to collect his views on the match against Leeds. He began in light-hearted mood, noting that it was appropriate he was obliged to stand with his back to the wall.

But then he was asked about the rumour doing the rounds of Leicester supporters websites that the scale of his contract means, effectively, he is too expensive to sack.

“I have read on the news what I am supposed to be on and I know for sure that is a total fabrication,” he said.

Which figure, he was asked, was a fabrication? The £10m a year that has been much cited? At which his frustrations came rapidly to the surface.

“It’s nowhere near,” he snapped. “I actually think it is a disrespectful question, very disrespectful. I never asked you how much money you are on or whether there is any blockage in your role from your owners. I don’t think you need to worry about my wages. If there is a stumbling block in anything, you need to ask the owners that. It’s a disgraceful question.”

And with that, he terminated the gathering, and stormed away. Whether he will be back to face another round of questions next week may well depend on the result at Leeds. The cliched claim is that football managers are only as good as their last result. For Rodgers, things are becoming so perilous, that might turn out to be true.

He's just demonstrating the power he has. He obviously can't believe that rubbish. I reckon he gets home at the end of the day and has a good laugh with the family about the stuff he gets away with. More fool us for the fact we're still allowing this charade to go on.

If he ain't on anywhere near £10m a year then it's even less we've got to pay him off!!! Can't wait for Tuesday's presser. The media are going to have some fun I reckon with the hot weather and the banner etc.

The disrespect he's shown to the club and the fanbase wipes out any credit I gave him for the FA cup win. When he leaves I hope he stays well away from the club

Yep. Should be thanking the likes of Tielemans and Iheanacho when he finally ****s off.

Thrown the family under the bus again

he didn’t need to do that - he could have just said that salaries are no one else’s business but he doesn’t recognise those numbers as valid.

he’s so begging to be sacked

Bournemouth’s owner took much less shit to let Scott Parker go and look where they are now. Rodgers has publicly disrespects the club and board and nothing happens. Grow a spine, Top.

Big day today.

Players back in training. I wonder if there will be a reserved parking space empty today…

The media are far too lazy to ever fact check most of the muck Rodgers comes out with but surely something as astonishing as claiming it was hot on Saturday when my missus had the audacity to put the heating on is where they draw the line.
