But unless you have psyic access to the managers thoughts and motives you can't quantify your statement Ok, I'll have a go, in my opinion the sh1t that comes out of Rodgers mouth is very measured formulated and well thought out sh1t, thats designed to hide veiled digs at people and situations and continually reinforced his manufactured excuses.. 2

Ric Flair Posted 2 February 2023 Posted 2 February 2023 These next 4-5 games are going to be a real test. If we don't pick up at least 3-4 points then we could genuinely struggle to stay up as we'd need to win over half our remaining games to do so. He has been backed, injuries may still be a massive issue though as it only takes a couple in certain positions and we're back to square one again. Let's hope he's still got the majority of the squad behind him because the luxury of a run of poor results and still be there be enough time for a new manager to turn it around has now pretty much gone. 2

Rodgers has a decent CV,he’s achieved more than the managers average NAME. Now he’s floundering,at the moment not on his words, but by not delivering on, onfield performance & presentation….Nothing else counts.. BIG difference. The three you’ve mention moaned about factors outside of the club. No matter how annoyed they’re with the club. Klopp didn’t get his midfielder this window - did he sit there telling everyone how shit Henderson is and that he is young and fresh but has his hands tied and the owner has no money. No to the media, to the outside, he told us all how great his mid table Liverpool side is. When they cross that line, they’ll go - believe me they will go. Fans have become relentless to him because he’s made himself an outsider. He’s challenged the owner, the board, the fans and the players all season. Just a few weeks ago he “appreciated what the Forest game meant to us”. He is being over analysed as you say because his demeanour is not fitting for the leader of this club. Say what you like, people can start as many threads as they want challenging the Brendan haters and start as many drinking games as they want but the fact is the manager in his approach has alienated a lot of fans who use this forum. He has done that without doing the basics right on the pitch. I guarantee you every fan on this forum recognises the difficulty of starting the season with one signing. They recognise that there are players here who are not good enough for this league starting regularly. They’ve challenged the owner - something unthinkable 6 months ago. They recognise the difficulties this manager is facing but don’t chuck stones mr manager if you’re walking on thin ice. Delivering on the pitch is very important but what comes out of a managers mouth when the basics are not done well WILL always be scrutinised - it’s ridiculous to think otherwise. Ferguson, Clough, O’Neil, Pearson, Shankly, Mourinho, Cruyff, Wenger, Capello - were moaners, arrogant, egotistical and self centred. Mourinho began to annoy his own fans at Chelsea in his second term when he started to challenge the club, the fans, the board and the staff. But what did the rest have - genuine affiliation and respect for their employer. Rodgers is missing that big time and his flip flop approach to them and us is causing massive issues with the fan base when you consider the utter rubbish his side is producing. taupe Posted 2 February 2023 Posted 2 February 2023 I watched today's press conference and he seems back on message. The sulk has passed and he's got some new toys. If he/they deliver then what I think of him as an individual is immaterial.

I would say maybe a few of the players in the U21s know what is there preffered position or actually plays it. The only person that seems to have some zest to express themselves is Deniche Hill. I think too many of the academy has been there too long, they are going through the motions.
