I am starting to wonder how much rope they will give the manager, the scary thing is they don't even look like winning, he keeps playing a front 2 yet they don't work well together and seem to want to be in the same areas

...Sigsworth and Flint has not shown any singns of working and that is as much to do with the lack of service they receive!!!

We never have the ball long enough to provide the support that they need, and that has been a big part of our problem.

Not playing Devlin for a period where we needed her skills to break through defences also has not helped the cause.

Didn't realise the squad was that young!

I imagine it doesn't help that at this stage in the Womens game most of the experienced older players are going to be at the bigger teams as well

I mean, it is a pretty good one to be able to use

We saw how much older experienced players helped us in staying up in our first season

They signed 8 players in the summer and only Sigsworth & McManus you would say are 'older experienced pros'.

A majority of the others have WSL experience but are all relatively young so does his recruitment need looking at / questioning? They got promoted with a young, unexperienced squad and just seemed to add to that profile.

I just don't think there is that many older experienced top level pros around really yet is there?

And the majority of them are still going to be at the top teams

Helps when the people above your head are family members.

they had Remi Allen in the squad but let her go to Villa so they had an experienced pro in midfield who is from Leicester to boot and decided not to keep her

The women's team is Morgan's baby. They wouldn't be anywhere without him. It would be extremely harsh if the club sacked him just a year after amalgamating the women's team into the club.

I don't know what people where expecting from this season but I always assumed they'd struggle. The good news is that they just have to finish above one other team to stay up (most likely Birmingham). I think they can do it.

Whole club is cursed when it comes to ACL’s…

Women suffer a lot more of them than men. I believe it has something to do with the genetics (a sport scientist or Google could probably explain).

Lost 1-4 in the end.

Birmingham got trounced at home to Reading so still only 1 point adrift of safety. The game against Birmingham scheduled for 19th Dec looking massive now.

...must win. !!!

...this team has struggled this season and the bottom line is they can not do the basics!!!

With all the changes made at the end of the last season, we may have to do the same all over again. We need pace all around this team and we do not have it up front at the back on the wings or in the middle of the park.

Flint is like Vardy, give her the service and she will score, we can hardly keep the ball for long enough to make it a reality.

Sigsworth  toils and seems to be playing on her own when paired with Flint. There is no obvious communication from either player in order to link up.

The backline has Plumptre and Tierney who are inexperience especially for Plumptre and lacks pace so any foot race is already lost to any balls played over the top or down the channels.

Not convinced by Levell as she is not good with the ball at her feet and needs to organise the backline as no one knows who is doing what.

Pressure situations develop with back passes and only requires the Centre Backs splitting to the edge of the box and the Fullbacks available to either play out or play the ball down the line in the channels to take us up the pitch.

Far too often our Keeper or defender attempts to clear and the balls ends up centrally where they already have large amounts of their players already in attack.

One of the first thing I  would like to see is that they get on to the training ground and learn to play the ball with their weaker foot. They too often choose to challenge for balls using their wrong foot, leaving them unbalanced and on the wrong side of the attacker. Any 50/50 challenges always breaks for the opposition as the poor technique has reduced our success to 80/20.

As I have said previously, they look better when they are well behind as they become less self conscious, you cannot continue to play with fear, you will have already conceded the advantage to the other team.

So basically whoever wins the Leicester vs Birmingham game will stay up, because the losing team won’t win another game. Let’s fill the KP for that one...

they have to play each other twice ..
