Was it the right thing to do so many squad changes?

the one I really don't understand was Remi Allen, had something most didn't a lot of experience in WSL and a quality defensive midfielder, most of the others were people that didn't really play last season. The decision on Allen was made to look worse with all the injuries in CM too and a defender having to play there

Not to mention she scored against us on the opening game for Villa! Funny ol’ game!

J Morgan mentioned to OPA on the Boot Room ahead of the WSL  opener that the players who were let go were a mixture of not being able to cut it at the higher level, lack of guaranteed game time & about personalities.

He kept mentioning how the group don’t take themselves too seriously, they like to have a laugh and a joke (at the right times) and it can’t be a serious environment all the time. I got the hint that was aimed towards Remi…

Taking his above comments into account, Remi was clearly good enough & clearly would of got plenty of minutes so putting 2 + 2 together about the “takes things too seriously” comment, it sounds like a personality clash or something.

Remi was just about the only player in the squad with WSL experience and was more of a senior pro so I’m assuming she was trying to drive the standards up and probably wasn’t involved in the squad socialising much.

Give it a listen if you’ve got the time, see what you think.

No. You don't break up a title winning group and bring in players not used to success or sitting in the stiffs at other clubs. They beat a couple of WSL teams in other competitions last season but haven't looked anywhere near that this season. Whether that's Morgan, recruitment or the general philosophy it's hard to tell. It's alright Morgan saying a few weren't up to this level but so far none of the players they've brougt in have cut it either. Need PBG and Devlin firing again and really give the second half of the season a push because it could end up embarrassing if they don't grind a couple of wins out of somewhere.

Brighton today is a must win IMO.

Brighton have been the surprise of the season for me.  Pre-season I'd have seen this as an opportunity for Leicester to get something, but it would be a big upset if they did now.  Dan Carter and Ellie Brazil will be a handful.

Poor fare so far. They look a million miles from getting anything from this game, hope that comes back to bite me.

The basic skill level of individual players seems worse than last season.

Disappointing

FA player but don’t blame

We made too many changes in the off season and threw away our identity from last season with the players coming in. In some ways it was like an evolving transfer door with WSL offcasts that we were purchasing.

Morgan did a fantastic job last season, but he was the wrong manager IMO to take the team forward in these circumstances.

We have no pace and no threat accordingly. Morgan started the season saying we were going to play with no fear and take the game to every one, but has realised you can't do that with the level of players we have.  So he has gone far more defensive, but we have no get out ball, so usually the ball keeps coming back, and there is no attacking threat. I have to say though, Brighton actually look beatable if we were a bit more adventurous. At least we have Flint on now. I was amazed she didn't start, for me she is always our most dangerous player.
