Who was it in the press who said Leicester were going all out to recruit a host of new players in their academy age groups this summer? Made out like we were going to invest a significant amount, we've seen precious little sign of that.

I guess we've seen Grist and Young come in for fees, but not exactly a host, is it!

No it's not, I really thought we'd see a few U18 foreign signings too and loaned straight to Leuven but that's not happening either. Always a lot of guff around our academy, never the big plans that get rumoured.

Just came here to post the same thing. His dad is a mate of mine and I’d heard he’s been playing with the U23s. Pretty amazing considering he’s just turned 16. 

I do not want to put too much pressure on young shoulders but I am very excited about the prospect of him making it with us. He does look to be an incredible talent.

Turns 18 tomorrow, really have got quite a young u23s team now (especially compared to previous seasons)

We did - Bourne said we were going to recruit heavily for the youth teams. Signed 4 very highly rated youngsters.

 

Grist and young are going to be serious players.
