For a club like Leicester City winning anything is a miracle. Coming second or below doesn't hit the history books unless its relegation. So any one would be fantastic as realistically, we have little chance in any. Whatever happened to the Top Tiles trophy? We never won that.

This is like asking, who you'd rather sleep with.

A. Anne Widdicombe

B. Jo Brand

C. Rachel Riley.

Two of them absolutely disgust me. And it's not Jo brand!

See how the EL group looks and then take it from there. A similar one to last season means we can prioritise the league before the knockout stages (although we do need to finsih top of our group)

come the knockout stages we have to go for the EL and let the PL  take care of itself …..

Clinching the FA Cup would be fantastic again but I do think, like the league title, the first victory won't be bettered.

Beating Cov, Derby and Forrest on the way to a 4-0 thumping of Spurs in the final.

I mean, if you have to choose from the three, Europa League, naturally.

But there is no reason not to play a strong side in the early League Cup rounds ... strong side doesn't mean playing the same 11 twice a week, but rotating for fitness. R32 and R16 happen before injuries/suspensions will actually kick in.

"Prioritising" really doesn't become an issue until December, and if we are still in the LC then it's a quarter final, and you have to play to win the thing (becausing winning the LC is a trophy for a club trying to win trophies.) But EL group stages will be over, and FA Cup not started, so we are only talking PL.

In January, if you are still in the LC, it's the semis ... this is the only real crunch decision for a while: You prioritise a semifinal over the first round of the FA Cup.

After that, it's prioritise a League Cup final over a Europa League or FA tie; and after that, you'd prioritise EL ties over FA Cup ties.

So, even though I think the Europa League is the more important trophy and should be our main goal; but every time that prioritising between the three cups becomes an actual, real life issue (if we advance that far in the competitions), I seem to be saying we should prioritise the League Cup.

But I'm not the one that checked the box.

We could be the favourites for the EL

How ridiculous is this btw? Leicester City as potential favourites for a European Trophy lol

It’ll be us, Lyon, Lazio and Napoli as the favourites. I’m not concerned about any of those, especially as we have both a cup win and European experience under our belts now.

We’ll be a side nobody will want to draw, even more so because we’re a second seed.

Europa hands down is the cup I would now like to win most.

And to make that happen I think we would need to play full-strength teams from the group stage onwards (and probably during some of the group games)

Whether we will actually do that is a different question

I suspect we will do what we did last year - play “strong” (but not full-strength) teams and go out to a team we underestimate

Honestly don't know why people are talking down the FA Cup and League Cup so much. I know we've won them before, but it wouldn't stop them being amazing achievements. We still all enjoyed the 2000 League Cup as much as the 1997 one, even though we'd done it before.

Obviously I'd take the Europa League as winning a European Trophy really lays a platform on our standing in the European game, as we have done in the English game over the past 5 or 6 years.

Happy to finish 5th again, maybe even just top 7, if it's coupled with a deep run into the Europa League. I genuinely think we can win it. We beat the Champions League champions and the team that finished 2nd in the league on our way to silverware last season - why couldn't we win against a second-string run of European sides and those who finished 3rd in their UCL group? I'm still frustrated that we threw away our progress last season against a very average Prague side. That final against Villareal was there for the taking.

I want us to be making the last 16 of both domestic cups at a minimum, for the squad players as much as anything. But I'd settle for an early exit from one (not both) if it's coupled with a proper go at Europa.

Basically, I'll be content to finish in a similar position and make a proper go of at least one cup competition. Back to back FA Cups would be incredible, and possibly even more of a statement than finally getting top four. But any cup will do - and since we now have the other two in the bag, it's a no-brainer to want the Europa League for the cabinet. :scarf:

Five people voted for the FA cup. I was wondering how much effort we want to put into an FA cup defense.

League and Europa are my priorities.

I'm really not fussed with the League cup and FA cup tbh. I hope we use those to keep our academy and fringe players happy.

Like a lot of others, surely really going for a European competition would mark further progress.

The Europa League reminds me of how the ‘big’ sides used to treat the League Cup years ago - with contempt basically until they got to a Semi. If we prioritize it I think we’d be up there as being among the favourites.

I think a real test of BR and our investment in the squad is when we come up against a slavia Prague in knock out stages..I'd like to see us make qtr final.

That may be a better indicator of the club's continued growth than how we fare in league

Sorry just realised I've basically repeated previous posts and offered nothing useful

Priority should be charity shield with 5- 0 pounding of man city please

I think because time and football has changed. The League and FA Cups don't pay the bills or stop your better players from moving on because they're ambitious and want Champions League football. The domestic cups are very nice to have and offer a nice fleeting experience of a possible day trip out to Wembley, but sadly that's all it is now, football is a business.
