One of the three, we've never won ... and the prize is the Champions League groups ... is this even a question?

Would absolutely love the League Cup at some point, just so Kasper and Vards could say they'd won the Championship, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup all at one club.

But this season the priority out of those three has to be the Europa. If Villarreal can win it then so can we. If that means getting knocked out the cups in the 3rd round to Newport then so be it.

Obviously, winning the league as well would be a bonus.

Europa League - I really want us to focus on it this season, full strength and we could definitely challenge for it in my opinion

League Top 6 finish - I would want a guarantee of Europa League football for the following season. That Conference thing or no European football and I think we could see a bit of an exodus

Cups - Rotated sides until we hit the semis, then dependant on the condition of the squad and how we are doing in Europa/League then go for it

Personally I think we should be going all out on Europa even if that's at the expense of our league position. Best team should be playing every Europa game with them using a mixed second/first team on the same week prem games.

League Cup:

Largely play fringe players and see where we we get too.  If we make quarter finals, then take seriously.

League:

Must be the priority initially.

Fa cup:

See who we get. Be pragmatic, if we can play a weakened side early rounds do so.  If all prem tie I think as holders we have to go all out to progress.

Europa:

Before Christmas this should be largely first 11, but there may be opportunities to rotate depending who we draw.  The way this is structured now you need to top the group really, avoids the round of 32.

Summary:

League

Europa

Fa cup

League cup

Reassess after Christmas when half the squad is injured.

Which is easiest, a top 4 finish or the Europa? Whichever, they surely have to be the priority now. The other two, now both ticked off, are nice to have but in terms of club progression and player retention are pretty insignificant.

Unpopular opinion but I'd love another FA cup win in front of a full Wembley.

What about a Europa League win in front of a full Sanchez Pizjuan? I would take the FA Cup at Wembley as well though.

We came a lot closer to top 4 than Europa last season so that is arguably easier, but Europa League gives you top seed and a trophy so would always be my first choice.

Europa for me. Clinching the FA Cup would be fantastic again but I do think, like the league title, the first victory won't be bettered. Winning any trophy is great, though.

Winning the Europa League would also take the pressure off the top four finish.

We could be the favourites for the EL

How ridiculous is this btw? Leicester City as potential favourites for a European Trophy lol

Either way, I think if we don't attain Champions League football from this season Tielemans and Ndidi will understandably be off and I wouldn't blame them. They both deserve to be playing at that level. Careers in football are short. Maddison possibly too but I'd not really be bothered either way whether he went, personally, if the money was right, I'd cash in now and reinvest.

I'm quite optimistic personally as we've thus far made some really good and astute signings. A key to next season will also be whether Rodgers tries to actually win games or merely play the averages and try not to lose. He's not going to achieve much I feel with the tired 3 at the back which causes us more problems than solves. He's got the players now to suit a number of formations.
