Do you think we’re interested in him as well?

Seems very unlikely to me so probably best to assume that any link to Arsenal is also hog wash.

No point in us being interested in him unless Maddison leaves, even then I don't think we would go after him

How do you mean?

Parts like Highfield and Evington (north) that are highly dense in housing and without enough parks and amenities. My great uncle lives in Evington but nearer to shadey lane so he can do some walking aged 94. It's the same north out of the city via the a6 past the the shires (highcross rather).

It's possible 4 3 3 is a formation he does want to experiment with a view of using it in certain games where we need an extra body/ more physicality in midfield. it's quite a risk though for Rodgers to sell one our most creative players and expect that creativity/goal contributions to be picked up elsewhere by moving to  4 3 3 is the main formation.

Good point. 4-2-3-1 against more defensive teams and 4-3-3 when we want to pack the midfield. Also think we may throw Soumare on instead of wilf in 4-2-3-1 against a deep block. We now have options instead of just wilf and Youri 👍

I seriously doubt he is thinking of leaving. He and his fiancée have just had their first child together, and he's clearly in a happy bubble. None of them are willingly going to want to disrupt that, especially this early after the birth.

We don't need to sell him, Arsenal aren't going to pay what we'd ask to cover the purchase of a right winger and Maddison replacement, and he won't want to leave right now anyway.

NEXT!

Is he definitely engaged? I though she was just his girlfriend.

I think it will end up as a 4-1-4-1 in that scenario as BR likes forward width and usually sticks with only 1 pivot in DM.

50m plus Willock for Maddison? I'd take that.

Willock scored same number of goals as Maddison last season in a worse side.

And then 50m to go for a winger.

Willock was unplayable end of last season. It remains to be seen whether Madders will be as the same player following his injuries. Think Willock would be a good signing either way

I think this is BR preferred formation for us, but injuries/form/lack of a RW have hampered it. Fitting Vardy and Nacho into the same side is a headache for him to some degree. Not the worst headache to have, but still a headache. In any event, I don't want Maddison to go, but I do think he is the most survivable of the big names, and will probably spend some time on the bench if he stays.

Arsenal going for Correa instead?

Well we won’t be interested (unless one or both of Iheanacho & Vardy are leaving) so take with a large pinch of sodium chloride?

Sky Sports reporting that we won't sell Maddison unless the offer is around £70m, which sounds about right to me.

The fact we’ve even put a number on it, if true, suggests we are interested in selling

LOL!!!! im just gonna laugh at all Maddison links, such a cringe fest of a transfer speculation

This sort of thing really annoys me. Their, and many others, idea of reporting is to choose a subject, write a brief, superficial introduction, then just list Twitter responses. Not exactly in depth journalism is it?

I've never thought the club would regard him as untouchable. I don't particularly want him to go, but £70m spent wisely could improve our team.

Everyone has there price. I'd suggest 70 is right for Maddison, but the more important aspect of the deal is the replacement... If its Coutinhio on loan and the 70 goes into a winger and CB, Rudkin needs blowing.

Correa isn't actually a striker, he plays behind/off whoever is upfront
