Struggling to find the latest info on JE, TC, JJ, are they expected to be fit for the start of the season?  Anyone know why Barnes wasn't in the squad yesterday, hoping it's not related to last seasons injury.

...I  would suspect it would be to do with his continuing rehabilitation from last season!!!

He may have got his boots back on, but not to say he can be competing on a pitch at this moment.

Yes - and before.  Bothered him for ages and got progressively worse …

...it is not going to go away....!!!

He has coped with it for some time it seems but at the drop of a hat it can be debilitating. I am surprised if he could not have had a bespoke boot made to help with the support he needs for his feet.

He may be wearing inappropriate footwear off the pitch, or he wears boots which he deems to be lucky and is reluctant to change. Either way he is now going to have to adjust what he does, in order to get him through the rest of his remaining career.

Can be operated on, which could be the way they have gone with it with how long he has seemingly been out for

Barnes was meant to be out for 6 weeks, that was at the end of February. It's going to be 6 months isnt it?

He then had a second surgery on the knee.

Think he looked pretty good when put through some rigorous turns and sprint runs at Seagrave the other day (was shown on one of the club videos) so I suspect they are just being careful. Last thing they wanted him to be involved in would be a bad challenge against Burton.

Timothy Castagne will return to contention for Leicester City when a specialist mask arrives

Justin is a long-term absentee after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in February, and Rodgers is predicting a late autumn return for the full-back

Mendy is currently sidelined with a groin issue picked up while representing Senegal in early June

Evans is struggling with the foot problem that hampered him at the end of last season

The article says that evans is “starting to put more weight on it”, is that suggesting that he’s not even running currently?

I don't think he has even done any actually training yet, from the pictures from training so far he has just been playing around in a big sand pit lol

Didn't someone come on here and say Justin would be fit for pre season?

Yeah I remember that, so not going to be back that early but still earlier than probably expected

The more I read about Evans’s injury the less I like. Can’t see him playing until after the international break tbh.

Hoping Castagne gets some game time against Villarreal or Man City, would be good to have him available.

That's a bummer about JJ. That means we might not even even see the best of him until the new year. Will he even get back in the team by then? As for Evans well that just bloody marvelous. I thought he'd have been well rested over summer and ready to go but looks more like nothings changed. Cags/Foffana/Bertrand it is then being our consistent defensive wall. Hope they all stay fit for the whole season otherwise we're screwed again.

How comfortable will Timmy be when heading the ball??  Most of us would sh1t ourselves after his injury, protective mask or not !

It’s a serious question ?? Can’t have a full back who isn’t able to head the ball without thinking twice about it !!
